Rena sat curled in the huge chair by the window, fingers wrapped around a steaming mug staring out across the Midian skyline. Tea, she didn't usually drink it, but people said it was soothing. Somehow, the red haze that hung over the city was soothing as well. Familiar. Home. She turned attention drawn by a small sound from the sleeping form on the bed. She watched him until he calmed, breathing returning to that slow steady rhythm. Was he having nightmares too? She couldn't help wondering.

Slowly she slid out of the chair and onto the floor. On her knees, she bent over the small table and the book lying there. She'd recovered it the night before, from the bottom of a chest in her room. Fingers traced the gold lettering on the cover. It had been given to her as a girl, by someone who was well meaning, but hadn't had the guts to really help her. She'd read it, knew the pages and the text intimately, but she'd never found anything of herself in there. But now...now a memory tugged at her. Changed. She opened it slowly and began skimming, first one letter and then the next. She poured over it as he slept, searching for that small bit of text that was tugging at her memory. When she finally found it, she felt as if the air had suddenly been sucked out of the room.

Behold, I tell you a mystery. We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we will be changed.

She remembered the trumpeting sound of Laz's cry. "HUMANS FIRST" and the blood. The screaming that filled her ears as they died around her. Her own agony as Masha's blood splattered her. Smoke, then suddenly the voices of the dead, coming back to life. She knew now what had happened, but all she knew in that moment was that the dead were rising around her.

Changed. All of them changed ...some so subtly others might not even notice, with others it was glaringly obvious to anyone who saw them. She knew she'd been changed in ways she couldn't comprehend yet.

Death has been swallowed up in victory.

She closed the book and reached for the mug and crawled back into the chair, curling in a tight ball. The tea was cold now, but she drank anyway, watching the sky turn from blood red to a warmer crimson as the sun rose. She never thought she's miss that sky, but she had.

Rena sat silently on the empty rooftop, looking out over the city. She could see movement here and there and occasionally voices drifted up to her, but they were too faint for her to make out what was being said.

He was gone and it was over. They'd finally admitted, to themselves and each other that they were trying to hold on to something that wasn't there anymore. Circumstance had torn them apart and time had changed them both too much. There was no going back now, and if they tried to stay together they risked destroying the one thing they did have left, their friendship. So they'd parted as friends.

She decided then and there, on that silent rooftop that overlook a city alive and buzzing below her...she couldn't look to the past any longer. She had to look forward and figure out who she was and what she wanted. The problem was...she wanted it all. A wicked grin curved her mouth and she rose, leaping down into god knows what...

Rena stared at the crumpled note, unfolding it like it might catch fire...

There were lyrics, written in a frenzied handwriting and an address for a website on the Grid, Midian's equivalent of the Internet from years ago.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OfSu_TGqn3g

Later, when she was alone, she flipped on the laptop in the HQ and looked it up.

The address on the Grid turns out to be a rapidly failing repository that houses hundreds of thousands of old A/V clips. After getting several failure errors, the link above will play this specified A/V clip on the viewing screen in a continuous loop. The recording itself has maintained most of its integrity, though on the guitar solo's the distortion is a bit more extreme, due to fade. The video remains shot in black and white, though in sections there are jigsaw creases that flicker down the length, probably because someone a generation or two ago had digitized this video of its original format.

---

Beat's so lonely
I bet it's lonely at the top
She hesitates
But the beat will never stop

Wanting him only
But the people never see
Her heart burning
That's the secret that she keeps

Come on baby
You know there's something missing
Don't find nothing
No more coincidences

Pretty baby
Look in his eyes and you will see
Things will happen
But only if they're meant too...

Beat's so lonely
I bet it's lonely at the top
So lonely at the top
So lonely

She said
Beat's so lonely
If you let it be that way
She can't tell the difference anyway

She thinks hold me
But she's scared to say
She paid dearly
for the answers of her days

Answers of her...

Answers of her days...

Answers of her...

So lonely
So lonely
So lonely
So lonely

So lonely
So lonely
So lonely
So lonely

Come on baby
You know there's something missing
Don't find nothing
No more coincidences

Pretty baby
Before you give him all you got
You got to come closer
You got to give it one more shot

Beat's so lonely
I bet she's lonely at the top
So lonely at the top
So lonely

So lonely
So lonely
So lonely
So lonely

So lonely
So lonely
So lonely
So lonely...

She looked down at the rest of the note again and just read in stunned silence.

The man was perceptive beyond what she'd given him credit for.

((most of this written my Lance))

Rena woke with a start, eyes blinking against the cold light of the Med Center. God she hated it here. She glanced at the sleeping kitten next to her and slid quietly off the gurney, careful not to wake the girl. A grimace, not of pain, but of disgust, appeared on her features as she looked down at the awful clothing from the church. A sparkley sweater and butterfly covered jeans. She was going to have to shoot anyone who saw her like this.

She only got a few steps before pain overwhelmed her and she went to her knees. A nurse she'd never seen before appeared out of nowhere and knelt before her. Soft voice. 'You took quite a beating.' She'd just grimaced and fought to rise. The nurse put out a hand to help, but she'd apparently been here long enough to know, some people didn't want help, no matter how well intended, and the hand fell back to her side.

She stood. Wobbly on her feet, but upright. "I'm going home." It wasn't a question, merely a statement of fact. The nurse sighed, tone resigned then she disappeared for a moment. When she came back she held two bottles. She pressed them into Rena's hand. 'I shouldn't do this, but you are going to hurt a lot worse very soon. These will help. The body heals faster when it's not fighting pain.'

Rena's hand closed on the bottle and she gave the woman a grateful look before simply turning and beginning the long, slow, walk home. The woman had been right. By the time she reached her door, the pain was excruciating and nausea threatened to overwhelm her. She managed to get the door open and stumbled in. There was a wine bottle on the table. Open...one glass. She didn't remember pouring it, but she tossed one of the pill bottles on the table and struggled to open the other. Yes, even in Midian there were damned child proof caps. She finally got it open, and managed to get two in her mouth. She tried to set the tiny container down, but it tipped, slipping it's contents across the table as she grabbed for the wine bottle.

She tipped the bottle up and just...chugged. Drunk and drugged. That was the ticket. When the last drop was gone the bottle dropped from her hand and she staggered to the couch. Just sitting caused pain to course through her. The burns were mild, they wouldn't even blister, but her body felt like it was on fire. She felt like she could feel every stitch. Shoulders, abdomen, back, thighs....all cut and bruised. More wounds than she could even remember. She silently prayed for the wine and painkillers to kick in.

Finally she slept, but it was a fitful sleep, filled with dreams of fire and demons, relentless torture, and abuse. Voices accused her, telling her in detail how she was going to spend eternity paying for her sins. She woke screaming, calling out for him, only to wake fully to the realization that she was utterly alone.

Opportunity Squandered

Rena sat curled in the chair, a plate with an untouched ham sandwhich sitting beside her on the table. It was happening again. Not eating, not sleeping, wandering the city at all hours looking for what? She knew what. Looking for trouble. Someone to hurt, or if she was lucky, someone strong enough to hurt her.

She closed her eyes and it was if she could see through the wall to the picture on the other side. The image was burned into her brain. Him, looking down at her. She hated it. Hated them both. Her eyes flew open and she shook her head, a wry laugh erupting from her. Masha would so kick her ass for this.

She'd had him in her grasp, had him at her mercy. He'd even told her to do it. Kill him. That's what monsters did. He'd taunted...take what you want, sait your desire. But that wasn't what she wanted. Not like that. Still...she could have done it, should have done. She should have left him at death's door. But she hadn't. She'd squandered the opportunity. Charles was right. She'd let sentimentality and emotion get the better of her once again and she knew she'd pay for it this time.

She closed her eyes again and the picture was still there. She started to rock, anger searing to the surface like hot lava. Her hand shot out and the plate went sailing acoss the room. It smashed into the shared wall and shattered. She looked down at the mess of glass and food on the couch.

"What do you want from me?"

"My choker."

She'd lied, said it was locked away someplace safe, but the truth was, it was right under that picture; Under her couch, gathering dust. She'd told Vasha he could have it back. But now...the memory of his knife at her throat again. The hilt of that same knife impacting her face with bone breaking force. She should have taken that too, the knife, but she'd left it. She started to shake with rage.

She got up slowly and left the apartment, out into the Midian night, barefoot and unarmed. She found herself in the park. Alone. Then it came...tiny, hopping, innocent. She sprang at it, skewering it with her claws before she could even think. She held it, bleating and helpless, fluttering in her hand as her fingers wrapped around it's neck. A tiny snapping sound and the fluttering stopped. She carried it back up to the apartments and carefully slit the little throat. The blood flowed slowly, no beating heart to force it out. She let it flow over one hand and then placed that hand on the wall next to the door. The ritual was repeated with the other hand. She laid the bloody bit of fur down and pulled out the soft bit of chalky rock she'd picked up. Kneeling in front of the door, she began to draw a chalk outline.

When she finished, she retrieved the bunny and carried it to the edge of the roof. She looked down at it as the sun began to rise...she should feel horrified, but she didn't. She flung to body over the edge and into the sea below, then turned and headed back into her apartment.

She stripped on her way to the bathroom, leaving a trail of bloody clothes behind her as she walked. Who knew bunnies had so much blood. The water was turned on and she waited until it was scalding hot before stepping under the spray. She let the water cascade over her, tinged red at first then gradually running clear. She stood until she couldn't stand the heat on her skin anymore then, reached to shut the water off, before sliding down the wall.

She didn't cry, wouldn't cry, not for him.

Rena's eyes fluttered open and she turned her head to search for the dark head on the pillow next to her. Of course it wasn't there. The bed on that side was rumpled, proof that her lover had been there, but of course that wasn't the face she searched for in her half waking state. She sat up slowly and stretched her arms above her head. Get your feet on the floor, move, breath...people are counting on you.

She slipped out of the bed silently and headed for the bathroom and the handful of aspirin that awaited her there. At least this headache was just stress and lack of sleep, not from a hangover or a beating she'd taken. She closed the medicine cabinet door and peered at her cheek in the mirror. The bruise had faded to nothing now, thank god. She was sick of answering questions about it.

Breakfast, the clock said 5pm, but it was still breakfast for her. She was a night owl, not that you could tell night from day in this place. Midnight's red glow was not that much different from the red glow of noon. Still, everything happened at night and the silence of the streets in the morning made her feel melancholy. Cold cereal and ice cold milk. Eat it fast before the milk got warm and the chocolaty flakes got mushy, leave the remnants for Masha's cat.

She dressed as she always did, with care, the clothing matching her mood. Skirts and tops littered the floor, shoes scattered among them. She searched until she found just the right pair to finish off the outfit. Dressing complete, she just sat on the end of the bed, staring off at nothing as she thought over the cowboy's offer. Was she strong enough for this? It's what she needed to be...stronger...faster...meaner. but then there were Masha and the Priest to consider. It was a different kind of strength, one she was certain she didn't possess.

Plans swirled through her head. The blonde woman, the boy, the gentle, dark haired, but lethal beauty. It was all a game of chess. She was out of her league and she knew it, but she had to play through. The goal, no longer to win, but to end the game and bring home her captured queen. Capture the King. Checkmate. Could she do it?

She rose slowly and strapped on the gun that never left her side now. There were other games to be played while the pawns were being knocked off one by one. She'd distract herself with the Knight and the Rook. The Bishop, she'd leave be. She finally left the apartment, looking for a sister, or trouble...whichever found her first.

Remember when I dove into the crowd
And I got a bloody knee under my skin, a mark from wiping out
It brings back the memories
Every bone's been broken
And my heart is still wide open

With each scar there’s a map that tells a story what a souvenir of Young love's like jumping out
An airplane riding a tidal wave on an ocean of emotion
My heart rips me wide open

And I cover up these scars
(We’ll make it we’ll make it but we break it)
And I can’t stop seeing stars
(lets hope not die)
Whenever you’re around
Around

I can’t stop
Don’t care if I lose
Baby you are the weapon I choose
These wounds are self inflicted
I’m going down in flames for you
oohhh you are the weapon I choose
These wounds are self inflicted
One more thing I’m addicted to

I can’t stop no I can’t stop
no I can't stop
I’m going out in flames
I’m going down in flames
Baby you are the weapon I choose

She sat in the window seat of the small apartment, her mind racing. She couldn't quiet it, no matter what she did. She wasn't born to lead, she was a loner by nature. She knew that, but here she was. Leading. She suddenly understood that deep need Oceania had seemed to have to keep them all safe. She understood it and knew it wasn't possible. The best she could do was keep them together and keep them watching each other's backs.

She turned the collar over in her hands, Ixion's words searing through her brain. 'He didn't know you.' Aravasha's biting question...'who are you trying to hold onto with that thing?' And Masha, sweet Masha, hammering Vasha with questions about why she stayed with Damian, how she could love a man like him. She'd asked Rena the same questions time and again until she'd decided he was redeemable in her eyes. But then, they'd hidden a lot from Masha.

Doubt swirled in her mind like dark clouds. What if it had just been another delusion in her life? Another thing she counted as real that wasn't. She shook her head to free her mind of the dark thoughts that threatened to overwhelm her. She wouldn't do this. It had been real, all of it. As real as she was capable of... The collar suddenly sailed across the room and impacted the far wall with a small thud before sliding down behind the couch. She truly cursed the day she'd first laid eyes on the damnable thing and doubly cursed it's wearer. She wasn't trying to hold onto him. The only thing she wanted from the man was respect. Acknowledgment that she had, at least, learned to play the game well, even if she wasn't his equal on the board....yet.

She slid out of the seat and stood up, reaching for the gun that lay on the table. She didn't have time for this kind of weakness, even momentary. It wasn't over yet. He had the upper hand...for now...but she had friends. It was time to bring them into play if she could. She knew Vasha and the boy were his weak spots. She needed recon.

I've heard it said
That people come into our lives for a reason
Bringing something we must learn
And we are led
To those who help us most to grow
If we let them
And we help them in return
Well, I don't know if I believe that's true
But I know I'm who I am today
Because I knew you...

It well may be
That we will never meet again
In this lifetime
So let me say before we part
So much of me
Is made of what I learned from you
You'll be with me
Like a handprint on my heart
And now whatever way our stories end
I know you have re-written mine
By being my friend...

And just to clear the air
I ask forgiveness
For the things I've done you blame me for
But then, I guess we know
There's blame to share
And none of it seems to matter anymore

Like a comet pulled from orbit
As it passes a sun
Like a stream that meets a boulder
Halfway through the wood
Who can say if I've been changed for the better?
But because I knew you
I have been changed for good

Like a ship blown from its mooring
By a wind off the sea
Like a seed dropped by a skybird
In a distant wood
Who can say if I've been changed for the better?
But because I knew you
I have been changed for good

Raising the Dead Pt. 3

Solrana Zagato narrows her eyes at Nerio as he touches his neck, notcing the missing scar for the first time. She looks down at her arm, before moving her hand away to examine the blood scabbing over it.

Xulltana Lowell: ok Rena really needs to hoof it here
Xulltana Lowell: he might lose intrest

Solrana Zagato shifts from foot to foot, looking agitated.

Xulltana Lowell: he may or may not be nerio...but seeing his face and lookings like that is really messing with me head ya know

Kale Goldlust chuckles "seeing as we met in a church...." she'd watch Nerio pitying and empathizing with him. "it must be hard....coming back like this..all for one woman...."

Rena Mayne looked at the door, then O...."Oh god....I can't."

Xulltana Lowell looks up and looks at the door hearing a voice

Oceania Goodliffe puts an arm around her "come on hun you can i am here with you"

Type your cut contents here.
Xulltana Lowell: thinks the play is about to begin...no? *moves to the door and opens it peeking out to rena and oceania, motioning them to come in*

Rena Mayne headed for the door, a look of determination on her face.

Solrana Zagato: We already had a zombie plague.

Xulltana Lowell: come on
Xulltana Lowell opens the door to let rena in

DorianAensland Aeon this... was something he had to see how it played out.. "Lets go Tali."

Solrana Zagato glances at the others, a rather pissed off look on her face.

Xulltana Lowell looks over at nerio

Kale Goldlust snorts at the last bit "me..a saint..i'd like to think so..." she'd shug slightly "and why not all for a woman...they say love transcends all" she turns to the woman "Romeo romeo wherefore art thu romeo... Your juliet has arrived..."

Rena Mayne nodded /me moved forward into the room like she was drawn to him, Her eyes on him the moment she entered, tears welling in her eyes. Suddenly she didn't care about the father's words or anything sane, she just wanted him back. "Nerio?"

Solrana Zagato pools out her phone to make a text.

Xulltana Lowell: careful....
Xulltana Lowell: something wrong heres

Kale Goldlust smiles motioning Laz over to her with a nod "Shal we?"

Xulltana Lowell chews on a piece of jerky that was in her pack watching her old friends closely

Rena Mayne heard the warnings, but the fell on deaf ears. She'd risked hell for this....

Oceania Goodliffe looks at the man and then to Rena an odd expression on her face "careful hun" she knew Rena wouldn't listen but she felt she had to after being with his father so long she could sense Nerio and this didn't feel right

Nerio Yoshikawa was looking around the place as if in recognition, though the man really never been here before, he was just living out the memories of Nerio that seemed to go to his own mind. He heard the words from Romeo and Juliet again and started to turn. He was paler than Nerio, black eyes with blood filled in them but he looked just like Nerio, right down to the cigar that laid lazily in his lips. He saw all the people that'd moved into the building and got an overwhelming sensation for a moment before he heard her...that was the voice...she's the one that called him and he moved closer to her with a slowness as if his body were in a slo-mo video.

Lazarus Lowenstark looks back over his shoulder. Either way this little play ended, Romeo would likely not be biting any more faces. He could skidaddle, then, finally. He does so, heading out with Kale.

Kale Goldlust smirks and waves to Oceania murmuring "We shall se you again Lady of Holy Light" an with that she left grinning one good deed could not remeedy a lifetime of crime aand murder..but it was a start...

Oceania Goodliffe had not even noticed Kale till she called after her when she left

DorianAensland Aeon his eyes settled on that in which appeared to be Nerio. He remained at Oceania's side, standing with his arms folded relaxed across his chest

Rena Mayne gasped at how pale he was, but Fu's warnings left her mind too. She didn't care....it was him, different, but him. "Nerio?" her hand moved to touch his cheek.

Nerio Yoshikawa cocked his head to the side, everyone was calling him that, or Canis. He wasn't sure why just yet as the memories of the man kept coming in very slowly for him. He looked relieved maybe as she reached to touch his face though he couldn't feel a damned thing with the dead nerves.

Xulltana Lowell: umm...does ANYONE find this a bit weird this is happening? *frowns looking around feeling as if shes talking to herself*

Rena Mayne was relieved when he didn't bit her...or instantly try and kill her, to her it was a good sign. "They said you'd hurt me....told me not to call you. But I had to. You see, don't you?" she gazed up at him, the adoring gaze she'd always given him. Then she saw the eyes and faltered...her hand dropping a bit. "Your beautiful eyes..."

Mitz Xi hums to herself as she walks in

Solrana Zagato looks up at Fu, anger still written across her face.

Talisy Minor wasn't familiar with these lands. If anything she was still nursing her side from where she got kicked and sent flying like a rag doll. However the person near her didn't seem right. There was a odd scent and that was enough to put her on her guard.

Mitz Xi: hey Mom!

DorianAensland Aeon "Oceania..." He spoke the woman's name while his head lowered, whispering into her ear.

Oceania Goodliffe watches Rena for a moment before her attention shifts back to the man, her gaze sweeping up and down his body, she saw what was in front of her with her eyes but her senses told her it wasn't him, she turns looking over at Sol noting her anger before tilting her head to listen to Dorian
Oceania Goodliffe whispers back to him

Fugazi Smalls: One glance from Fu would say her thoughts more clearly to Sol than words. She wasn't in the mood for it, regardless of what she wanted to say.

Nerio Yoshikawa had already eaten a side of someone's face and she was the one that summoned him, so he felt a need to be near her. However as she removed her hand and dropped it he watched it fall. The tone in her voice, resounding rejection made the dead man a bit irritated. He wandered hours it seemed searching for her after clawing his way out of the grave that he was slumbering in.

Xulltana Lowell: oh great......he mad......bets on O he goes for first!

Oceania Goodliffe looking to Rena a second before turning to Nerio "hey Sonny good to see ya"

Rena Mayne reached out for his hand, clasping it in hers. "Talk to me? Please?" she searched his eyes, looking for some sign that this was ok. Clinging to the hope she'd gotten him back. She glanced back at O..."Everyone will be happy to see you."

Nerio Yoshikawa didn't seem to recognise O, that part of Nerio's memories not having come to him yet and he looked at the woman speaking to him with confusion as he didn't understand a word from her. He removed the cigar from his mouth and put it out on his boot, much like Nerio used to. As she took his hand his brow slowly rose as he looked back up at her, trying to understand what she was saying to him.

Solrana Zagato turns on her heel as she heads for the door. She had other zombies to go hunt up and make sure they weren't ripping people apart still. Jerking out her phone, she makes a text message before she walks up towards the alley, blood still dripping down her arm to the floor.

Oceania Goodliffe leans in to whisper to Rena

DorianAensland Aeon "I swear..." he began to speak up while his hands dropped to his sides. "Every day, this place is startin' to feel more and more like home..." His wrists tensed then relaxed for a moment.

Xulltana Lowell sighs thinking her old friends are all messed up

Nerio Yoshikawa not only was he missing a scar that everyone knew Nerio had on his neck, but he was also very tattooless..but maybe that was burned off? He didn't seem to look burned at all, one could wonder what it was this man actually died of.

Rena Mayne reached out to touch his face again. She didn't know what he'd done...just that he was here. Her fingers moved down his neck and to his shoulder. "Your scar is gone..." she turned her head to O's whisper. "No. it is, it has to be....doesn't it?"

Oceania Goodliffe shakes her head "you know i wouldn't lie about that"

Xulltana Lowell: careful Rena...he smells likes me
Xulltana Lowell: and that aint good
Xulltana Lowell: trust me

Nerio Yoshikawa reaches to his throat too as he was surprised by that himself before. He doesn't know why it's not there but it wasn't...as her hand goes to his face he smiled wickedly towards her for a moment before the look falters into a more solemn look.

Talisy Minor looked to dorian then the others. "I'm guessing this happens alot, Master?"

Xulltana Lowell: better hope it don't ugly lady
Xulltana Lowell rips a chunk of meat off her jerky into her mouth, chewing

Talisy Minor wrinkles her nose at being called ugly. "Yea love ya too toots." She grumbled faintly.

Rena Mayne blinked...faltering again. She could feel it too, in her heart she knew it, but her head wouldn't let go. "You came back for me." she looked into those eyes, so not like his.

Xulltana Lowell: oh boy.....*bites her hand to keep silent thinking the worse

Mitz Xi rolls her eyes..."well.. I am out of here.. I got other things to do"

Oceania Goodliffe looks over to Dorian as she reaches for his hand at a loss for what to do

DorianAensland Aeon "Rena... I might not have the right to say this, cause we've barely known each other for so long... but is what you're reaching out for right now what your heart says is really there.... or 'wish' thats there...?"

Xulltana Lowell: come on rena have sence....he no smells like nerio!

Nerio Yoshikawa reached a hand to a lock of her hair as he looked intently at her and that wicked expression crossed his face again. He was starving and that small hunk of flessh just didn't seem to be enough to satisfy him and he started to push his fingers into the side of her face in hopes to tear a piece from her.

Xulltana Lowell sighs tilting her head and stares at the two

Rena Mayne exhaled a small sigh of confusion, her look turning quickly to fear as he touched her. They were right, it wasn't right. She tried to take a step back from him, her face crumpling.

Oceania Goodliffe reaches out to her trying to pull her away from him and protect her

Nerio Yoshikawa blinks as she steps back from him as he touched her and an almost angered expression fell on his face as he stepped closer. Rejected again, he thought she was here for him, he thought that she was his gift. He didn't understand as he reached back out to grab at her

Xulltana Lowell: Kills him...he not your romeo no longers....you will die because he will not let ya goes *says duly my expresion sad*

DorianAensland Aeon "Fuck it ~" he said while stepping forward in hopes to intercept Nerio's wrist by grabbing ahold of it before it reached her.. and if successful, he'd also attempt to yank his arm completely backwards so that Nerio's elbow thrust upwards with his arm pulling behind his back, and using the leverage of his own back pressing against his to flip him over and towards the ground across from them.

Rena Mayne shook her head. "No...no....I can't kill him." she tried to move away from him, pulled by O one direction and her own feet another she landed with a whump on her ass at his feet.

Talisy Minor tilts hr head as she watches what goes on before him. Her eyes swaying between the group and those around..

Oceania Goodliffe crouches down next to her taking her in her arms, silently comforting her as she watches Dorian attempt to go after him

Nerio Yoshikawa's reaction time was extremely slow. Hell, he was a dead guy and was lucky to be walking, only being driven by whatever kind of magic they performed to summon him. As Dorian reached out to him he moved his face slowly towards the man as if he was on some funny drugs and his arm literally snaps as Dorian goes to wrap it around his back, old, dry bones inside just turning into ashed uselessness underneath the flesh that seemed to not exactly be very strong and tore as the man's hands went around it. He goes sailing to the floor as half his arm snaps off.

Rena Mayne screamed a blood curdling, heart wrenching scream and clutched onto Oceania.
Xulltana Lowell: oh not good not good...

Oceania Goodliffe holds her tighter as she looks around and sees Fu calling out to her "Can you do something?"

Xulltana Lowell: ok he falling apart...NOW will ya shoots him?
Xulltana Lowell: he was not stewed properly

DorianAensland Aeon Could only stay silent for so long. "RENA! Hear me, and hear me 'right' now. That's not Nerio... and think of it this way. You should be glad to know it ain't, cause if it was, that would mean he actually 'did' die in that fire. This means there's a chance he's still alive, so start thinkin' about that again..." There was no way in hell the real Nerio would of let Dorian handle him that easily. The weight was also off, and his reaction time and instinct was shot to shit..

Xulltana Lowell: good point rena...if he dead where all burns..and waht not....he looks more like a fake science project ya knows?

Fugazi Smalls: "One never knows" she'd mutter and stride forward to try to intercede

Talisy Minor grinned at her master and nodded her head in agreeance. "Something is trying to keep you apart and is trying to throw up false illusions."

Rena Mayne reached out to him, she knew now....knew it wasn't him, but....it was still like watching Nerio die. She gulped down sobs. hiccuping to and abrupt stop as Dorian yelled. She blinked slowly. The monster before, now this...she watched the creature. "I'm so sorry." she said it for the second time that night and knew she'd have to say it a lot for awhile. Her eyes caught and followed Fu as she moved toward the wounded creature.

Fugazi Smalls: standing between them now she'd just stare at him for a few moments then shake her head

Xulltana Lowell: sugest ya hit his spinal cord while ya still gots teh chance
Xulltana Lowell: block the brain

DorianAensland Aeon just because Dorian said that, didn't mean it was entirely true. He still wasn't sure how he matched Nerio's demeanor so easily... rather memories were drawn from the real thing itself, or a connection left implanted on the items used in the summoning. Regardless, at least Rena'd calmed down.

Nerio Yoshikawa unfortunately didn't feel a damned thing, not knowing that his arm now laid like a badly ripped rag dolls arm to his side. He tried to stand but that arm wouldn't let him give purchase so he just rolled to the other side to use the other arm to help him back up. Walking back to Rena in a rather 'zombielike' state, (How trite *Makes fun of his own damn RP*) and moved down towards her hair with his hand to take a hold of it

Oceania Goodliffe speaking softly to her as she holds her close "if the summoning got that monster and now this, good chance he isn't dead to be summoned"

Fugazi Smalls: steps in his way and says firmly "No"

Rena Mayne tried to scoot back as he moved forward, her hands coming up to strike at the hand reaching for her, probably smacking Fu instead.

Nerio Yoshikawa just seemed to stop as Fu gets in front of him and says that. Almost as if he were controlled very well by her. Perhaps because she's the one that performed the ceremony or maybe cause of her power. One never knew
Oceania Goodliffe scoots back with her "we won't let it get you"

DorianAensland Aeon all he did for the time being was stand in between Rena, Oceania, and Nerio and Fugazi, playing the walking blockaid. His hand rested against his hip while watching Fugazi work along with him.

Fugazi Smalls: "To get to her, you have to get through me" her eyes get that mad glint again

DorianAensland Aeon almost fell over.

Xulltana Lowell: quick someone get a mop...going to get messy *smirks to herself*

Nerio Yoshikawa looks at her as if he had no blazing clue what she was saying now, though his attention goes to the shiney thing around her neck and he reached out to grab it with a distracted look on his face.

Rena Mayne tried to struggle to her feet, pulling Oceania up with her. not letting go of her. She wasn't going to cower on the ground...she wasn't weak....just...she focused on the eyes. "Not his eyes. Not him. God....not him."

Oceania Goodliffe stands with Rena keeping her arms about her

Talisy Minor stepped up as well. She wasn't about to just not help oceania or her friend. It wasn't her way. If anything she growls faintly. "It's time for you to go back to where you come from or lead us to the real Nerio."

Oceania Goodliffe smiles over to Tali as she speaks

Nerio Yoshikawa did in fact know where the real Nerio was, unfortunately he didn't understand the woman. As he reached to the shiney he seemed to get a pained look on his face. He didn't feel the pain on his hands but something deep within him seemed to scream and suddenly that scream was coming from his lips as well and echoed through the building

Xulltana Lowell bites her lip covering her ears

Fugazi Smalls: with a flick of her fingers Fu would utter a word that sounded like "Vztensi" forcing the thing back a half step unless he let go of the necklace

The first monster had been easy, she had know instantly is wasn't him, but this...it looked so like him it made her heart ache. Her mind was spinning, what if they were right and they had managed to call the real Nerio? But her mind went to Fu's words, she's said this was what would come if her were dead. She let out a small sob as he screamed. She'd never heard Nerio scream.

Xulltana Lowell: man...this love story sucks....where is my refund on my ticket *mutters to herself*

Oceania Goodliffe holding her tighter as that small sob escapes Rena

Kenneth Sinclair stares at nerio and thinks to himself 'still alive...?'

Xulltana Lowell steps forwerd reaching for kenneth's brief case see what it is

Nerio Yoshikawa didn't ask to be here, he was perfectly content in his grave. They summoned him, not by their choice since they thought they were summoning someone else..but they got this guy as the real Nerio laid in a puddle of his own vomit somewhere, bleeding, burned and in extreme pain. He was being haunted by the past people he had killed and his mind breaking slowly. As the woman uttered the strange word he stepped back and let go of the talisman. LOoking down at his hand in wonder...somehow the memories from the real Nerio started to come more and more to the dead man's mind. He started to recognise these people more.

DorianAensland Aeon "Curious Fu... is there anyway we can keep him to track down the location of the real Nerio?" Rather he be dead or alive was how he'd wanted to continue that question.

Kenneth Sinclair slowly moves away from xulltana's reach; not showing any body language to provoke aggression.

Fugazi Smalls: "that will depend on how intact this one's mind is"

Xulltana Lowell: Hey come on Nerio lay off! if you really are *shouts to the corpse*

DorianAensland Aeon "If you notice the expression in his eyes... it doesn't exactly look as if his mind is deterioriating... exact opposite actually." He looked on towards Nerio's shadow in intrest... that was what he decided to call him in his own mind.

Rena Mayne's eyes searched his face again. "Who are you?" she asked suddenly. She realized, she hadn't heard him speak yet.

Xulltana Lowell: duh...hes a corpse

Fugazi Smalls: "Not who, what Rena. A simulacra, or dopplegaanger" steps up to him and speaks "now you will show me where the real Nerio is" and thrust her index finger into his skull right between the eyebrows up to the knuckle

Rena Mayne nearly passed out when she saw that.

Oceania Goodliffe holds Rena as she feels her swoon

[2008/06/13 0:29] : Xulltana Lowell OOC : crap its bedtime for me, someone log this RP I wanna know

DorianAensland Aeon "A dopleganger..." he mumured under his breath... more things like this showing up more freely as of late... for some reason, Dorian suddenly felt he'd end up very busy in this city if things continued off in this direction.

Nerio Yoshikawa looks at the one shouting at him, it bothered his ears from being kept in a silent grave so long and now having a gunshot go off right next to his head almost earlier. He was starting to hate all the noises. He looks at all of them in turn, not sure what they were doing or saying. He didn't understand much, everything like a foreign film to him. As the one woman came close to him he just watched and as her fingers went through his head he raised a slow brow to that. No pain was felt and he didn't seem horrified like the real Nerio would have been, he hated that shit. But this one seemed more curious. In his mind, Fu would see Nerio in a very wooded area. A creek was nearby, brush grown up over the the area. His body limp and burned badly against the wet grass. He was shaking in the darkness as he had the corpse of a rabbit next to him. He had been there since he escaped the fire but his body just couldn't go on anymore and he fell there, so so very close to his home but not close enough. There might be a cabin that's visible off in the distance. Not his own but it might ring bells to Rena if she was told about it.

Talisy Minor didn't understand what the heck was going on but she wasn't likely to just step away either. Too many of those she cared about were involved. Looking to the creature, her eyes took a dangerous hue to them making the amethyst darken.. "Where is the real Nerio?"

Fugazi Smalls: withdraws her finger, flicking the blood and gore to the floor then turns to Rena "do you wish to know the answer?"

Rena Mayne breathed a sigh of relief when his head didn't collapse. Her eyes widened as she looked at Fu, she did....but if she said he was dead, she'd lose it. She nodded ever so slowly, her eyes closing and waited.

Nerio Yoshikawa's face seemed to just close up after Fu removed her fingers from playing inside of it. He looked at her oddly before raising a hand to his face to see what the hell......

Fugazi Smalls: reached out with her left hand...the clean one, and palmed Rena's forehead. with a moment's concentration she literally "showed her" what she had seen in the thing's mind

Rena Mayne gasped out loud, tears running down her face, first smiling, then sobering as she realized how bad off he was. "Oh my god...." Her hand moved around her stomach, she felt suddenly a bit nauseous.

Kenneth Sinclair usually dismisses spiritual phenominons as fabricated hollywood fiction but, the paranormal occurance infront of him was truly something else to him. His non-supernatural beliefs soon hinder at the sight of fu's contact with someone that appears to be his friend 'nerio'.

Oceania Goodliffe looks to Rena as gets the "picture " ... "well are you going to him?"

DorianAensland Aeon "Rena... if we now know where he is, it means we were right and he's 'still' alive. He anywhere we can freely head off and get'em?" He asked while turning towards her, speaking up to refocus her on the fact that she could reunite with him once again. She could break down 'after' they were back together.

Rena Mayne opened her eyes and looked at the shadow of a man in front of her. She knew now. Knew he had to go back where he belonged. She nodded to the group and gently disengaged from Oceania. "It's all right."

Talisy Minor looked up the group wondering. Although at dorian's words she nodded but said nothing. Instead her hand grabbed his tail and hugged it tightly.

Oceania Goodliffe tilts her as she looks to her

Nerio Yoshikawa looks over at Rena, the tears in her eyes bringing forth a care that Nerio would have over her and he stepped forwards with a frown on his face, trying to get around Fu at the time to do it. He didn't look aggressive, but upset she seemed to be crying. He didn't love her like Nerio did but he felt Nerio's feelings for and thought they were his own.

Fugazi Smalls: glances up to look at Kenneth with a truly disarming smile "all done with mirrors. I hope to convince them to let me do three shows a night here." then to the group "I think we can now dispense with this imposter." and is shoved aside by the imposter

Rena Mayne pulled the dagger he'd made her from the sheath beneath her skirt. She looked up at him. The eyes. "You're not him." she spoke softly, tears still falling as she looked up at him. "I'm sorry we called you...." She leaned in as if to embrace him and punged the dagger toward his midsection, if she succeded, she'd pull up and toward the heart.

Nerio Yoshikawa looks at her with curiosity, his hand cupping around her jaw as she comes closer to him and he tried to smile but he just couldn't seem to get his mouth to cooperate like he wanted. As she gave him the mocked embrace he went to slide his other arm around her but well...it wasn't going to happen as it was half snapped off and hanging there like a dead fish. He doesn't feel the dagger going through him but he heard it distinctly and he looked down at the blade plunging into his chest. His eyes shoot up into her eyes and his fill with sorrow before he whispers, "Juliet?" *In a most haunting manner. As the dagger moves up towards his heart he started to stagger back, gripping his hand around the blade now, his eyes questioning at Rena*

Rena Mayne gasped as he spoke, but her hand didn't falter, it couldn't. She leaned into it and drove it home, right through his heart, she hoped. "I'm sorry Romeo." She knew he wasn't, but feeling for the creature brought fresh tears. She put all the strength she had behind the blade, pulling up as hard as she could.

Nerio Yoshikawa clutched harder on the blade as she sent it home and puncturing his heart, then sliding it up in through it like a piece of bread. His legs started to collapse out from under him as his hand then reached out to her slowly. He speaks slowly, monstrous voice choking out the words Nerio knew so well, "Never...was a story..so full of woe...than Juliet...and her Romeo" *With that he went to the ground slowly, finally his heart not making his body move anymore, the cold, dead eyes close. His redeath.

Fugazi Smalls: "Mmmmh...ah well. Go to him dear, we'll deal with the remainder"

Rena Mayne shuddered and let go of the dagger as he fell, a last sob tearing from her at his words. She knew it wasn't him, knew for certain now and had her answers, but still....to hear that and look down at a face, so like his. She knelt down and closed the creature's eyes. "Never again." she looked up at Fu. "You…You're sure this isn't him." she started to shake, terror coming into her face.

Fugazi Smalls: "Positive, even it knew it wasn't him"

DorianAensland Aeon "And even 'you' knew it wasn't him," he reminded Rena, to disspell her of the fear that she might of killed her real lover.

Fugazi Smalls: "rest assured, I'd never allow you to kill Nerio, not like that. I'm cold dear, but I have my limits."

Rena Mayne looked at the creature, now just a pale shadow of Nerio, almost peaceful. She nodded. She wouldn't rest easy til she found him. "I know where he is. I...I think I should go alone. What should we do with this one?"

Fugazi Smalls: watches as the body begins to turn to dust "broom and dustpan perhaps?"

DorianAensland Aeon "Or a dust devil," he interjected while eyeing the pile he turned into.

Raising the Dead Pt. 2

Markko Ondricek howls again but thsi time it wasn't a howl for calling death upon these wretches but in pain as he strikes the creature infront of him as the man in the dress collides into her, his arm glancing off her upper torso and shoulder, connecting with something putting a searing burn through his arm, a reaction much different than the stab, he looked to her in and at the sight of the holy symbol his eyes went into pure horror and then roared in anger the same roar to cause fear and freeze one in their place, "I will devour all of you! he screamed and turned toward the woman to his left...she wanted hell and she would have it.

Type your cut contents here.
Guinevere Fouroux hears Rena's pained whisper--she never knew Nerio, but she was quite certain this... thing standing amongst them was not him. And she frowns, thinking it had to be someone playing a terrible joke on a grieving woman. But then Masha lunges at the disturbed man, and Eamon lunges at Masha, and suddenly everything was changing. She glances over as Elise stands, thinking that her first idea sounded absolutely brilliant. What she says makes sense, though--as much as anything here makes sense--and she curls her around her dagger, drawing it free. The thing suddenly roars, making her wince, but she can't see anything around his broad back. "All right," she nods, voice tight. "But which one to cover first?"

Talisy Minor too released her hand from dorian. By now she didn't have any weapons persay on her. But then she'd worn her spiked gloves like she did every time she came to the club in case there was a problem. Being little she drew her small fist back and launced it for the unholy creature's side. Silver spikes probably wouldn't feel that good lascerating the flesh. "Go back to where the hell you came from!"

Markko Ondricek roars again and takes a step forward his hand reaching out for her hair atop her head, barbed wire wrapped hand to grind against her scalp, "I Jailed you precious Nerio myself, he whimpered like a child..." he pauses as he feels spikes tearing into his skin from the side, Dreka'Vac snarlsand kicks at her with a heavy boot laden with blackened steel of Hades and then looks back to Rena, "He whimpers still...and you will join him"

Lisa Feng moves fowrd, she didn't quite realized she was unarmed..but as a MPD officer she felt obligated to do...something.. she moved foward, trying to take hold of one of the 'things' arms with her delicate hands, as she did so the rosary might make contact inadventivly

Rena Mayne was praying, the girl who swore she didn't believe in god, praying no one got hurt to much as they dispatched this thing. She yanked her knife free, her head now aching from the scream the creature uttered and tried to plunge it between his rib...aiming for the heart if she could.

Masha Eilde feels the knife sink home, then the howls strikes her sensitive ears, but she's heard worse and all it does is send her into a deeper fit of fury. Feral coyote eyes glare in the moment before the enormous fist comes training towards her chest, and she howls, high and eeries and filled with ire. But it's her shoulder that blossoms in pain. her jacket ripped open and blood following from the barbs, and her feet leave the ground, impelled by the flying weight of Father Eamon. Tears streak her cheeks, not from pain but from rage, mindless with the urge to attack what represents her enemy. She fights underneath Eamon, her right arm not working right, her teeth bared in a growl, and when her prey roars in pain, she growls again in return.

Markko Ondricek laughed as his skin began to drink up the steel of another blade in its flesh, he was feeding off the hate, the desire to kill, and then in a taunt let lose his unholy roar into her face, intending to freeze her in her place with fear and then turn to the others, not letting go of her hair, the first one he wanted to kill was the woman within ward, but she was safe, so his choice was the filth trying to hold himself clean in his clothe, he would devour it first and spit his flesh onto the others before he pulled them with him into the abyss.

Eamon Cale hits the floor hard--and finds himself with an armful of squirming, bloody pissed coyote. He releases her, grimly content for the moment to have kept her from getting her head torn off, and rolls to his feet, one hand reaching for his gun. Which... isn't there. Fecking hell--in his rush to leave the rectory at Masha's call, he'd left it behind. Without hesitation, he crouches and snatches the knife from his boot. Whatever this damned thing is, he's had enough. He reaches to grab the thing's massive wrist where its hand is fisted in Rena's hair, his eyes dark and intent as he thrusts his blade with all his old skill at the thing's ribs, beneath its arm. "Right, ye great bastard," he snarls, "Let her go."

Oceania Goodliffe watching the hideous creature react to the holy symbol she backs up as she screams hoping to be heard over the commotion "HOLY SYMBOLS, EVERYONE WHO HAS SOMETHING HOLY ATTACK HIM WITH IT, FATHER YOU LEAD THIS CREATURE BACK TO HELL WHERE IT BELONGS"

Marina Storaro: At this point, herself and Fu were laid out on the ground, tussling with each other's arms and hands, legs were entangled and hair was awry. When the woman's hands grabbed for her face, she felt a horrible wrenching. Something was *twisting* her very bone and flesh, jolting it aside, grinding things to move that.. ought not to. She would fight it.. and what she couldn't.. well.. hopefully there were good surgeons. She felt her very bones crack and mold like clay beneath skin surface, and with howling scream of fury, lashed nails into the woman's arms, intending to rip into flesh, and her teeth swung aside, to grab for her hands, to bite fingers, tear, and rip into with canines.

Mitz Xi heads toward the demon as swift as she can.. her eyes narrowed, she stoops on the way snapping one of the red glass candles in her right hand and without breaking stride she throws it at the face of Dreka`Vac if it hit might shatter glass and hot wax everywhere... "Get away from my pack sister you fuglee bitch..." she will be in hand to hand next round as she is moving on you now...

Elise Capalini has no desire whatsoever to step into the fray; she shakes her head at Guin. "Remember, sometimes, it's smart to stay out," she says. She bends down, not to pull her dagger, but rather the small Bible from her boot. She opens it to Psalms, finding a well-worn page, its corner bent over. "...You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday. A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you...."

Markko Ondricek was growing extremely angry from the prayers behind him the noise was getting unbearable, and then he glared at the Father with a grim grin of death as he felt the blade fly between his ribs, his flesh pouring blackened blood as the flesh began to grasp at the blade, he roared again with his abyssal power and with hsi other fist struck hard at the man's head, a fierce blow to knock him away and put him down so he could devour him later, is head twitchs a moment as a massive candle strikes him in the head...flame, he loved flame and he would show them plenty, he roared again

Guinevere Fouroux nods at Elise's words, but looks back to the chaos in front of her as she reaches for something in her boot. She can barely see anything, or make out much beyond the screams of strangers and guttural snarls--and she hears Eamon's as well, though she can't see around the man's bulk. Elise's muttering draws her back, the familiar verse winding around her heart. She swallows hard, conjuring up her own words. A prayer for peace--Saint Francis Prayer. "Lord, make me an instrument of Your peace," she begins, eyeing the insanity before them. "Where there is hatred, let me sow love; where there is injury, pardon; where there is doubt, faith... " But then she sees the man rear back with his fist, aiming straight for Eamon's head, and without thought she turned the grip of her knife in her hand, lifted her arm and hurled it at the man's back, aiming for a living target for the very first time.

Talisy Minor has gotten a kick that sent her small form up and flying a few feet where she landed with a crash of limbs on the floor. Not having anything holy, it was against what she was to have it anyways. Instead she slowly picked herself up. "You fucking suck ducks." But she hurried back over to where she was.

Markko Ondricek continues on with hsi strike and another roar of delightful hate to feed from as he feels the knife bite into his back, his dead flesh clamping around it as he black blood spilled to the tiles with a his of heat, his eyes focused on Rena again, "I think I shall devour your soul first filth...and then the rest of you wretches"

Lisa Feng trys to keep her grip on the thing's arm, hearing Guin she joins in,recalling the prayer 'where there is despair, hope; where there is darkness, light; and where there is sadness, joy..'

Rena Mayne yanked her blade free, dropping it at O's scream. "Stop fighting each other and fight him!" She yanked the roasry she'd been carrying, that Masha had questioned her wearing, out of the pocket of her dress, trying to press it into the monster however she could as she resited the first scripture she could call to mind. "The lord is my shepard, I shall not want, he maketh me to lie down in green pastured, her leadeth me, beside the still waters, he restoreth my soul, he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his names sake, ye though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for though art with me, thy rod and they staff they comfort me!" yep, that religious upbringing did her some good after all....

Marina Storaro and Fu are still entangled.

Masha Eilde scrambles to her feet as soon as she is released, lips still drawn back, saliva slowly dripping from her bare teeth to snake down her neck. A part of her is aware of what's happening and O's shouted command, but it's not in charge right now. Her right arm hangs, useless, as she shifts to her left, Guin's deadly knife whistling past her, stands in a slight crouch, then makes a small hop followed by a coyote style pounce, claws bared, jaws snapping savagely as she aims for the creature's left-back, avoiding all the spikes and who knows what else. If she succeeds, she would cling like a limpet, lunging to bite savagely at the exposed flesh of the thing's shoulder, just behind the three spikey things. Her rosary would press against its flesh, as would the Gad on her belly, exposed by her updrawn jacket.

Markko Ondricek roared in pain feeling the burn of the rosary on him, and shove her away from him by her head just as he felt the creature on his back more rosary on his undead flesh and he woudl scream out in terror, his body would twist away in spasm trying to throw the attached beast off of him, "Back again mongrel..." he roared again in attempt to freeze them in fear, "You will die slowly for me" he growled as he spun around screaming from hte searing pain on his body

Eamon Cale had been one hell of a bare-knuckle boxer in other days. He sees the fist coming toward him and ducks. Almost fast enough--it strikes a glancing blow that makes his vision go black for a second, but his fist tightens on the hilt of his knife. Blood is washing over his hand, hot and sticky, stinking of copper, but he angles the knife and would haul it up viciously until it fetched against ribs, all the while silently praying God to forgive him. His eyes narrow at its reaction to the touch of the holy things the others wield. Mad as a hatter, this one, but if it thought itself a demon, he's more than happy to oblige. "I adjure ye to depart," he snarls, recalling the words from the Roman Ritual. "Yield not to my own person but to the minister of Christ. For 'tis the power of Christ that compels ye, who brought ye low by His cross. Let her -go,- ye rat bastard, or by God I'll unzip your fecking guts and wear 'em as a daisy chain."

Oceania Goodliffe slipping to the floor she pulls her knees up hugging them tight as she skin feels like it is on fire and she starts trembling from all the prayers being spoken

Mitz Xi leaps as the runt is all over you like white on rice, she would have frozen in fear but was in the air already, her claws slash aiming for your eyes as she growls low... she lands with a soft thud grappling at the Demon's right side with Masha now... her small form ready for more action with a wild grin on her lips... she knows one thing.. her advantage will be with Masha as they will wolf pack attack you to death...darting in and out with their attacks

Elise Capalini keeps reading from her Bible, not focusing on the way her hands tremble--she didn't want to look at Masha or the father and see what they were tangled with--but focusing instead on the words and the truth she feels in them. "...no harm will befall you, no disaster will come near your tent. For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways; they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone. You will tread upon the lion and the cobra; you will trample the great lion and the serpent. Because he loves me, says the Lord, I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name. He will call upon me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him." She eyes Guin's dagger sticking out of the tormented man. "Nice aim," she tells Guin. "Better than a paper target, hmm?"

Markko Ondricek snarled in annoyance at the prayers and the paid no attention to the useless stabbing and would almost smirk at the sickening that would happen to the Father later from the blood pouring on him, his body still writhing to remove the flea ridden puppy from his back, then his eyes would gleam in a death filled flash of hunger as the mouthy little piece of trashed hopped upon him and now it was time for the flame, and in hsi spinning to remove the mongrel he began to spew a fiery vomit onto the floor around him letting the flames rise up around him to defend him from them, his roar became louder, but from the pain of the holy weapons upon his body

Guinevere Fouroux takes a grim satisfaction in seeing her blade sink into the man's back--and might have felt strange about that, if not for the fact that the thing barely seemed to register its blow. And it certainly didn't stop him. She grits her teeth in frustration, focusing again on the prayers. Those, at least, seemed to be having some effect. She lets Elise's words wash over her, relearning their cadence. At her comment she flashes her a quick, tense smile. "Much." She starts on another prayer, the first that leaps to her mind, when flames suddenly erupted around the crazed man. She instinctively ducks, toward Elise, heat and flames filling the room and blocking their view. "Shit," she hisses, blinking toward the group. "He has a flamethrower?"

Talisy Minor her eyes took in oceania and despite her not being the body guard to her. Talisy abandoned the demon she couldn't truely hurt and knelt before oceania and wrapped her slender arms around her. Her hand pushed the woman's face into her neck. "It's ok, I'm here. Master will help fix this, do you want to walk some to get away from this a moment. " Although the situation was a litlte heated she tried to get control of her upset and tweaking frined.

Marina Storaro: And now the tangled mass of bodies of Fu and Marina were finally becoming disengaged. Likely in the chaos that was ensuing, few would notice, but if they did, they would see their bodies flailing apart with screams and curses. Fu clutched her own hands, grabbing at something at the floor with wild eyes. Marina, covered in blood, crawled, holding an arm across her gut where her chest was ripped open. Inside, her organs were shifted and she felt violently, horribly ill. And her face, well, luckily, probably, no one would see. Because her cheeks were missing, her mouth was pushed to one side, and long teeth were blood-spattered over ivories. Her nose, was pushed aside, towards her ear.

Lisa Feng lets out a timid 'eep' falling backkk as the sudden movment of the arm pushes her back to the floor, knockedo ut

Rena Mayne screamed in fury and fear as the creature burst into flame, falling back on her ass and scuttling away from the flames. "Jesus christ in a chicken basket, die you lame ass muther fucker!" yeah, she was channeling Indigoe.

Masha Eilde clings, her bad arm wedged ignomiously between spikes-things, her face buried in the filthy flesh of the beast's shoulder. Foul tasting blood pours into her mouth and she gags, a wild revulsion filling her, head rearing back, mouth rimmed in black slime. The creature starts to spin, and she holds on, he eyes meeting Mitz's as they turn, seeing an ally and she carols a triumphant howl, legs wrapped around the thing, even when the flames begin to spew. A moment's instinctive fear - fire, death, flee - and she loses her grip, flying backward off the thing to land on her back and skid to a stop at Elise and Guin's feet.

Markko Ondricek snarls loudly as he feels the mongrel fly from his back and brings an arm down to crush the annoying flea under him, just as he would stare into the eyes of the Father and roar another unholy roar desiring to strike fear into his heart, desiring to break his faith, then to look at Rena, "You first" he would say with a smirk and then take a stride through the dieing flames toward her

Marina Storaro continued her slow crawl, holding guts together with arm, towards the door. Her blood-spattered, transfigured and gouged self with be no help to anyone. If she could even get home that is.

Eamon Cale's knife comes free with a wrench as the beastie turns, trying to shake off the lasses clinging to its back. He swears in furious Gaelic and stumbles back as flame hits the floor in a liquid rush and rises between the thing and himself. Fecking flame-thrower? What in hells? And grand, his coat's on fire. He slaps out the flames eating through his sleeve with a hiss of angry pain. And he lifts his eyes and briefly meets those of the beast thing as it roars. It does nothing to break his faith--if anything, it settles a cloak of chilling calm over the priest. Something is there that gives him pause--something that, unreal as it seems, reminds him of the thing that once watched him from behind Masha's eyes. His gaze swiftly darkening, instinct driving him, he reaches inside his coat and pulls free a small vial, uncorking it with a flick of his thumb and slashing its contents across the thing's chest. Holy water.

Oceania Goodliffe feeling Tali's cool arms around her she leans her heated flesh against her, her body trembling as she closes her eyes trying to block out the rest of the room "no must stay for Rena" she chocks out

Mitz Xi hissss out as she leaps in again her eyes look to Masha's with a grin as if to say.. hell yeah lets take it to this bitch... she attacks with her claws lashing out for the Demons throat as she now clings to your back where Masha was... only she is alot more strong then her little coyote friend that fell to the floor.. she latches on wrapping her legs and arms about your back hanging on and yells out.."SOMETHING IS KEEPING IT HERE, SOMETHING IS LINKING IT TO THIS DIMENSION FIND IT AND BREAK IT! I'll umm keep it busy.." God mitz this might be the dumbest thing you ever did yet, yeah right keep it busy"

Elise Capalini goes to her knees as the heat washes through the room; she clutches her small Bible, taking comfort in Rena's own prayer and curses alike. The Lord is my shepherd, she thinks--shepherds...wolves...she pictures a long looping scar, traveling around a man's face, and knows this man before them, this poor tortured beast, is not long for this world. She reaches for Masha, smelling smoke and blackness clinging to her, holds her close and whispers, "You're all right, girly."

Markko Ondricek howls in horror feeling holy water splash across his body, a fire on him he cannot bare, his flesh beginning to wither at teh instant, the burn going through and he screeches in a horror that coudl never be expected, the pain so deep as more black blood begins to spill from the burning openings it begins to stagger and fall to a knee, "you will all die.." he said in a darkened voice as the pain began to set in

Guinevere Fouroux holds her arm up against the heat, trying to see through the haze as it starts to fade. But before she can register anything else she sees Masha's body flying through the air, skidding to a halt at their feet. Elise crouches down next to her, and after a moment's hesitation, she does as well. She had no more weapons against this thing, and knifes seemed to do nothing more than irritate it or please it, she's not sure which. She nods at Elise's words, reaching out to take Masha's hand, but keeps an eye on what's happening. She notes the father reaching into his coat, and smiles, faintly, at what he pulls out. She knows that well... and while she believes this being to be nothing more than a delusional, homicidal human, he clearly believes himself to be demonic. And her smile widens, grimly, at his reaction. "You first," she says quietly, giving Masha's hand a reassuring squeeze.

Talisy Minor coiled her tiny body around Oceania as she leans into her. Her body sheilding her from the holy magics being used. It seemed the seance was massively derailed in a bad way. She caressed her friend's back protectively. "We'll stay, when Master returns... he'll make it better.." Talisy murmered softly against O's ear, it was about then that the violet haired girl started softly singing a demon world lullibye that dorian used to sing to her when she was little.

Rena Mayne's eyes followed Masha then she snarled, rising to meet the thing as it called her not matter the cost. At Mitz's words, she dove, grabbing the collar and pulling it from the circle. It would look like she was just trying to get away from him as she rolled throught the cirlce and broke free of it on the other side.

Masha Eilde reacts the familiar scent of Elise, one she associates with strength, humor, and shared love of adventure. And of Guin, confidence, faith, and a quiet steadiness. Pack. Her coyote mind clings to that scent, following it like a little thread through all the horrific stenches in the room and she curls up, burying her nose in her foofy tail, bad arm underneath her. She peers over her tail at the dying creature with purely canine eyes. A low growl rumbles through her throat, but the fight's out of her, some deep part of her feeling rather pleased. She'd fought back.

Markko Ondricek roared and roared again through the pain and then it spoke in a guttaral language that none may know, eons old, but spoken in thedepths, he would rise to again to his feet, glaring at the manof the clothe, blood pouring from his body scorched by water, and the burning still eating him, he would take a step forward and howl toward his face and an arm would lash out toward his body, wanting the barbs to tear through him, and he would ignore the thing on his back that was nothing more than dead weight to him

Eamon Cale's brows draw together sharply at the thing's reaction. Bloody hell. Twice, in little more than the space of a month--he'd refuse to believe it if not for the evidence before his eyes, the skin charring and peeling back at the holy water's touch. He meets the thing's slashing arm, grunting pain as barbs bite through his leather sleeve and rip into his own, but the water splashes again. He jerks his arm free with a hiss, ignoring the bright agony as he uses the water to mark the demon with the sign of the cross. "The Word made flesh commands ye," he suddenly thunders, unafraid. "The Virgin's Son commands ye, who once, when ye despised His disciples, forced ye to flee in shameful defeat. And now as I adjure ye in His name, begone from this place. 'Tis futile to resist His will." His lips curl in a chilling smile; the holy water cuts like a blade. "Be gone! Ye have no power here."

Oceania Goodliffe The girl's comforting and singing seem to be helping as the trembling subsides and her skin starts to feel a little cooler as the rest of the room is blotted out from her

Mitz Xi eyes widen as she clings then giggles thinking about 'the pick of destiny...' slipping her arm about the demons throat she locks her arms in a chokehold to silence him and cut off his breath... she tightens the grip with her stength and holds on.. she leans in and whispers into the demons ear... her hot breath cold to his unholy skin.. "You need a bath loverboy.. and maybe someone would take you to the movies..." she pulls back arching her back to apply all the pressure she can to cutting off his voice and air.

Elise Capalini smoothes Masha's hair back from her face, flinging flith and more filth off her hand. "You're all right," she says again, and manages to smile down at the coyote. She tears one of her own long knit socks off to press it gently into Masha's ruined right shoulder. "You did good." She hopes not to betray her worry as her eye moves over Masha and her injuries. She looks back up to the father and the poor insane man. "Be strong and take heart," she says to them, "all you who hope in the Lord."

Markko Ondricek would roar out again at the splash of the water on his flesh, water searing through his shoulder until an arm falls to the floor blood spewing in response to the missing dead limb, pooling on the floor en masse as he falls to his knees, its unholy power lessening, fading, his head thrashing side to side trying to remove the mouth woman from his back, her choke hole doing now near the amount of annoyance of having to listen to her, he would howl again, turning to his spiteful roar of destruction

Guinevere Fouroux listens to the father's words, most of them ringing almost shockingly familiar. She'd never thought to hear them spoken aloud in her life, not in use, and now here they were again... but they seemed to be working, and that's what was important. She curls her fist, hating the helpless feeling, and wills that it work more quickly. Elise's words draw her attention, and she smiles faintly, acknowledging them. Her eyes then travel down to Masha's body. That, at least, she can do something about. Hopefully. "What can I do?" she asks Elise, wishing she had half Sister's Lisbeth's medical skill.

Talisy Minor just rocked and cuddles Oceania.. "I don't think this is going to happen tonight.."

Fugazi Smalls: rising to her feet her arms spread like the talons of some enormous raptor she'd fix the fiend with a baleful glare and throw her head back intoning a curse of some kind in a commanding tone "Asherd Me'aktola pedu d'Koldun Dreka'Vak Ka!"

Rena Mayne dropped the collar and pulled the earrings off, crusafixes both, and one in each hand, she rushed the monster. She slammed them into his flesh with a scream. "Got to HELL!" driving them into his body though it cost her bloodied palms to do it. If she succeeded, they'd be buried in the creatures flesh.

Masha Eilde's tail thumps at the attention from Elise and Guin, then she buries her nose in the sock, inhaling deeply, making the long intense sniffs familiar to anyone who's ever been around a canine. She looks up, amber eyes fixed on Rena, then Eamon, then back to the sock with a will. She's seems utterly unconcerned with the chaos a few feet away.

Markko Ondricek eyes widened and howled again at the sounds of the summoner's recant, shaking his horned head in fury and pain. not ever realizing the woman Rena approaching him and dropping hte vile symbols into his gaping maw, with no concern of his knashing teeth and began to screech again in wild horror as the burning was filling him, its undead body convulsing as it choked on the symbol its body begging to steam on the floor as it writhes, sudden ly flashing and smoking until with a rush of flame and smoke it disappears, now banished back to the abyss until summoned anew

Rena Mayne coughed through the smoke and looked around wildly...."Where did he go?"

Oceania Goodliffe leaning against Tali for comfort she continues to try and block out all the holiness around her, her body still trembling and her flesh still feels as if it is on fire tho she is getting some control over blocking things out with Tali's help

Mitz Xi lands on the floor.. "wow.. like that witch with the flying monkeys... melting... meeeelting... tisk.. oh well.. bye bye." she steps back with a shrug...

Elise Capalini looks down at Masha's sniffling her sock, half wondering what it smelled like, then to Guin, considering her question. "The med center for this one. I've stitched before...but I think she needs a real doctor, which I am not." She looks to the father. "Med center for him, too, I'm thinking."

Fugazi Smalls: in the moment of silence following Fu would speak very uncharacterstically, probably due to the stress "well -that- really sucked"

Eamon Cale watches in a cold, calm fury as the thing screams and writhes and vanishes beneath the combination of their words and the touch of the holy things. He stands there in silence for a moment, feeling blood slowly drip from his sleeve down his hand and paint a thin line along his cheek. He turns and looks at the pale-skinned lass. "Are ye bloody mad?"

Talisy Minor kept up her soft and gentle chanting and singing the demon world lulibyes from when she was little into Oceania's ear. Her slender form coiled protectively around the other woman as best she could. "I'm sorry about all this, Oceania... " finally her lips departed near the soft flesh of oceania's ear and caressed through her hair lightly as if still trying to protect her.

DorianAensland Aeon "Mad...? Bloody Mad...? Who in their right mind blantantly interrupts a... you know what... never mind.." he spoke while kneeling down at Oceania's other sides and embracing her as Talisy had from that point.

Fugazi Smalls: "somewhat upset, but not mad. Why? would you -like- to see me mad?" the glint in her eye showed she wasn't threatened or cowed by any of this. Daring the priest to challenge her

Masha Eilde lifts her head and cocks it in Fu's general direction, nose still nested in the sock. Her eyes flick to Eamon, and she chuffs, before bending her face to snuffle anew. It smelled like Elise, her shoe, and the places where she'd been, of sweats of various kinds, a roadmap of time and travel and response, old to new.

Guinevere Fouroux looks away at the smoke rising from the center of the room, surrounding the crazed man's screaching, and when she looked up again, he was nowhere to be found. She blinks in confusion, then turns toward Elise, then the father. "Agreed," she says quietly, thankful at least that it wasn't worse than it was. She hears the father's question to the woman she didn't know and holds her breath, waiting for the answer. This was nothing but madness.

Rena Mayne swallowed hard and nodded. She'd been willing to go to hell, but not to drag them all with her. She cringed as the priest yelled, ducking her head and looking back at O. "Merciful Zeus, what a mess."
.
Eamon Cale curls his lip. "I meant batty. Mad as a fecking hatter. No, lass, I don't care to see ye angry. I'd rather see ye bloody -think."- He turns his back on her and starts toward the parish lasses near the door. His eyes dart quickly between Guin and Elise. "Masha? Is she all right?"

Elise Capalini shakes her head a little. "Her shoulder's bad--but her nose still seems good...Masha, we should get you to the med center." She looks up at the father. "And you too, just in case."

Masha Eilde growls a little if Eamon gets too close ot her sock. She takes a little bit into her teeth and worries it, keeping one eye canted towards Eamon, her ears perked with alert interest. She's hurt, but it doesn't seem to be bother her.

Rena Mayne cringed as he phone rang. She answered, speaking softly into it.

Oceania Goodliffe feeling Dorian next to her she lifts her head to look around the room "its gone, they stopped praying"she said softly as if just realizing, slowly her body begins to calm, the wartn diminishing and the trembling subsiding

Fugazi Smalls: takes a step towards the priest, for a moment...a split second her beast was ready to pounce...but it passed. Thankfully it passed.

Talisy Minor whimpered in pain when she got embraced by Master while cuddling O. Her side black from being kicked along with several shards of jewelry dug into her side since she'd been closest to Marina when it had exploded. Stepping back to give o room to rise again she looked bout the room. "I Don't think this is going to happen now..."

Her eyes widened as she listened and she turned pale, eyes going to Fu

Guinevere Fouroux bristles a little at the woman's reaction to the question, wondering if she'd even seen what she'd just put them all through, but smiles tightly at the father's approach. She nods at Elise's assessment, eyes noting that the blood dripping from his hand was sparse and he didn't seem pale, or struggling. She exhales. "This is over, right?" she says quietly, nodding toward the circle of... whatever was going on.

Oceania Goodliffe looks over toward Rena, her paleness worrying her as she attempts to stand and go to her

Rena Mayne moved to kneel nest to O. "Are you alright? I'm so sorry."
Rena Mayne leaned close and hugged her.

Oceania Goodliffe sitting back down she reaches over to hug her friend

Eamon Cale nods grimly. "Aye, 'tis over." Whatever *it* was. He doesn't want to think about that now. Crouching down, he eyes Masha closely. She's acting feral. Bloody hell. Wondering if it will work as it does with dogs--and praying he won't get bitten for his pains==he extends a fist toward Masha to let her sniff it, if she wants. "Hey, lass," he says softly, "'Tis me. Will ye come along?"

Elise Capalini watches Masha nomming on her sock and purrs a little at the sight.

Oceania Goodliffe turns to her blinking

Masha Eilde blinks, then drops the sock, stretching her head out to snurf Eamon's hand thoroughly. It smells like blood, his own, and yuck, the crazy demon person thing. She licks at it, then sneezes. She rolls apologetic yellow eyes up at Eamon, tail thumping again.

DorianAensland Aeon when Rena's arms embraced Oceania he rocked back on his feet somewhat to keep his eyes on the father and the others towards the exit.

Eamon Cale turns his hand palm up, slowly, then reaches to scratch behind Masha's ears. "Think she'll come with ye now?" he asks Elise and Guin, not looking up.

Rena Mayne nodded moving back and toward Masha. "Is she ok?"

Elise Capalini looks up at the father. "Can you help us get her up?" Moving out of this horrid room would be a wonderful start. "masha...come on." She looks up at Rena. "No--she's not all right, but she will be. I hope you will be as well."

Oceania Goodliffe stares after Rena

Rena Mayne nodded, looking stronger than she had in days. This was a wake up call, time to stop....her eyes went from one to the other. "You'll take care of her?"

Eamon Cale lifts his eyes to Rena. He searches her face for a moment, then nods at Elise's question and moves to slowly, gently ease Masha up off the floor. "If ye don't bite me, love," he tells her, trying for a grim sort of humor, "I'll buy ye a whole case of bloody socks."

Elise Capalini nods at Rena. "We'll always take care of her," she promises. "We always have."

Masha Eilde presses her ear into Eamon's scritching fingers, tail wagging faster, face splitting into a grin when Rena approaches. She allows herself to be lifted to her feet.

Guinevere Fouroux blinks at the way the father was acting toward Masha--as distracted as she'd been, she hadn't truly noticed the way Masha was behaving. No one seemed terribly alarmed, and so Guin reaches out to tentatively pet Masha's hair. She starts to stand at Elise's words, ready to give Masha any help she needs, and looks over to Rena with a small smile. "We'll take care of her," she says queitly. "And you need to take care of yourself. I can't imagine what you're going through... but you need to start allowing yourself to heal."

Oceania Goodliffe reaches out to take Tali's and Dorian's hands "come on we are going with Rena"

Eamon Cale hands Masha off to Guin and Elise, waiting until she seems steady. "Go on. I want a word with Rena."

Talisy Minor blinks as her hands were grasped. She nodded her head, "As you wish, Miss Oceania."

Elise Capalini curls an arm around Masha, nodding toward Guin on her other side, guiding her slowly to the door.

DorianAensland Aeon especially after hearing that, and assisting Oceania up and to her feet, he'd gladly do just that. "No issues with that at all..."

Rena Mayne reached out a hand to Masha's hair. "She's strong. A fighter."

Rena Mayne's eyes went to the father and she nodded slowly.

Guinevere Fouroux smiles at Elise's nod, and takes her place at Masha's other side, guiding her out of this dark, smoke-filled room.

Masha Eilde wiggles a bit with all the hair petting, injury utterly forgotten so long as she doesn't jostle it. Her tail is wagging madly now and she tilts her head to sniff Guin's fingers thoroughly.

Fugazi Smalls: carefully blows out the candles one by one and picks up her book, shrugging. Everything else was replaceable

Eamon Cale waits until the lasses are gone, then he turns to Rena. "Are ye all right, love?" he asks softly.

Elise Capalini steps outside and breathes deep--the air is a little fresher here. She mews and looks around.

Rena Mayne looked at the floor and nodded. "I was willing to go to hell for him, but not to drag you lot along, I'm sorry....just sorry. I hope you can forgive me."

Mitz Xi: *miaowrrrt*

Eamon Cale studies her intently. "And do ye think that's what he would have wanted? This lad who loved ye? To watch the lass he married suffer hell for his sake?"

Masha Eilde cocks her head with elevated interest when Elise mews. She steps a few feet closer, then whips her head to follow as Mitz makes the same sound. Enticing. Back to Elise and she reaches with both hands to place them on the cat's shoulder, intending to sniff her face but yipes when her right arm rejects the idea.

Guinevere Fouroux laughs a little at Masha sniffing her fingers, but doesn't pull away, though it tickles a little. "You were amazing in there, Masha," she says quietly, not sure if her words would register.

Oceania Goodliffe leans up to whisper into Dorian's ear

Rena Mayne smiled at that, "You didn't know him." she sobered quickly, "I just needed to know....and now...I do."

Elise Capalini gently guides Masha's arm back to her side. "Be careful, girly--you're hurt there." She wraps her sock around the shoulder to slow any bleeding. "She seems feral," she tells Guin. "I've seen it in cats before...but not in Masha."

DorianAensland Aeon after that incident, not 'too' many people knew. That aside, when Oceania whispered to him he noded in response, his expression not seeming to change all of just yet.

Rena Mayne watched them all go, nodding to Fu. "See you at the TZ?"

Eamon Cale nods grimly. "No, I didn't know him. But I know what it means to love another--and I can't believe your lad would have wanted all this. Not for you. Next time ye need answers, love, I hope you'll seek them in kinder quarters. But no forgiveness needed, lass." He looks at his bloody hand with a twisted grimace. "Love makes us do mad things. God be with ye." He exits the building.

Fugazi Smalls: "I'll need to freshen up"

Rena Mayne swallowed hard. She had some making up to do with people.

Mitz Xi: mh.. see you all around later I guess

Fugazi Smalls: looks to Rena, a slow blink "Are you well?"

Masha Eilde lets her arm get lowered, and in lieu of sniffing Elise's kitty face, settles for the sock again, burying her nose in it with new vigor. It smells almost... tasty.

Raising the Dead Pt. 1

Fugazi Smalls: "Of Course. If you have questions now is the time Rena. Did you recieve the note?"

Rena Mayne stared at the circle for a long moment. "If something comes, we have to kill it, right?" she looked at Fu, in her mind, praying nothing came.

Fugazi Smalls: "Kill, or banish, as the case may be. You will be particularly vulnerable to something we summon, as your blood is part of the ritual." She murmured "Let us hope it does not come to that"

Rena Mayne nodded. "I read the note." she didn't like the blood part, but at this point was willing to do anything.

Fugazi Smalls: "You can stop this at any time up to a certain point dear. But beyond that we are committed"

Rena Mayne nodded. "I am committed." she needed to BE committed.

Fugazi Smalls: indicating the circle within the triangle "If anything does appear, it will be bound within that symbol. So long as it isn't released we should be safe. Did you bring the object?"

Rena Mayne nodded. "Inside the circle. Got it...don't let it out and we are fine." she was still praying to a god she said she didn't believe in that nothing come out of that circle.

Lisa Feng reaches into a small pocket in the dress, removing the rosary in sliding it over her neck, she had the ethic of 'better-safe-then-sorry'

Rena Mayne looked at Fu solemnly. "I am as ready as I'm going to get, shall I call the others?"

Fugazi Smalls: I need to take a moment to prepare, but they should come inside and get comfortable. Once the ritual begins nobody touches the symbols except you and I"

Rena Mayne nodded and moved to the door to call the others. She opened and motioned to them to come in.

Type your cut contents here[
Fugazi Smalls: walks away and bows her head in concentration

Lisa Feng perks a ear, stepping to the door inwards curiously

DorianAensland Aeon "Erm..." he saw her do nothing but slide on her rosary... the irony in that was hard for him 'not' to laugh at. He bit his tongue while a sheepish smile formed across his lips. "Nice to meet you too... me? I'm doin' fine. Yea, had a blast last weekend, how bout you? Oh really, is that true? Well i'll be damned," he continued on the conversation with himself with a flick of his tail.

Lisa Feng smiles sheepishly, blushing as she realized she had been quite rude...she muttered a quick 'sorry' before scurrying off

Rena Mayne smiled at Lisa. "Thanks for coming. Get comfy...."

Lisa Feng nods, fignerign the rosary 'your welcome' she said, smiling back sheepishly
Lisa Feng gives Fu the same smile, fidgting slightly

Rena Mayne motioned for the others to enter.

Oceania Goodliffe giggles softly as his conversation helped her to clear her head, she looks up to him smiling even if he didn't know why she said "thank you" looks over as Lisa walks away wondering if they were called and she didn't hear Rena

Rena Mayne moved to stand next to Fu. "Thank you all for coming, Fu will explain what we are doing.

Lisa Feng takes her desired position next to Mitz

Fugazi Smalls: Fu enters and kneels on the circle of white rice paper in the center of the other symbols. She begins chanting as she lights the four red candles within the outer circle. Once the candles are lit she takes a large writing brush and begins writing symbols on the rice paper in front of her, reading them as she goes. Nobody present will be able to understand what is said but the language sounds harsh and throaty.

Mitz Xi stays in her place watching and listening

Rena Mayne shivered as she listened, her eyes moving over the assembled wondering how they were feeling.

Lisa Feng perks a ear, the language unpleasant to her ears

Talisy Minor observed the rituals and rites being preformed. Naturally the scientist in her wanted to study and learn what was being said and done. However she knew better then to leave Dorian's side while out. He'd warned her to stay close and out of trouble and thus with her word she obliged although the words and incantations still intrigued her.

Oceania Goodliffe watches quietly waiting for instructions

Fugazi Smalls: "all who support Rena in this please approach the circle and link hands.

Fugazi Smalls: "At no time release any hand but Rena's or cross the circle or there may be unfortunate repercussions."

Oceania Goodliffe moves toward the circle holding her hands out to each side for them to be grasped by whoever moved next to her

Mitz Xi looks to O... then steps toward the circle... then snaps her eyes to Lis.."you let go.. and I will tear out your throat.. you got me?"

Lisa Feng moves foward, tugging Mitz's hand with her
Lisa Feng nods silently

DorianAensland Aeon as errie as this seemed, he did nothing but simply watch on. For a moment however he almost took a single step back... yet rather than that, he stepped forward as suggested. His hands reached out to take the hands of those at his sides, and did nothing but simply watch on in silence

Talisy Minor nodded at the instructions. When dorian stepped forward, she too followed suit and stepped forward as well offering out her small hands.

Fugazi Smalls: "This is a ritual that calls to a spirit that is lost, and can be quite dangerous if treated without respect. For Rena's sake I hope that will not be an issue"
Fugazi Smalls: " Focus on Rena, murmur encouragements to her, feel free to echo any ritual requests that you understand. We are gathered to offer her our force of will and our support, but the sacrifice must be hers and hers alone."

Rena Mayne took the hands of those on either side of her, her own hands cold now.

Lisa Feng grips Mitz hand tightly, shivering slightly at the coldness of Rena's hand as she takes it

Talisy Minor grasped hands and held onto those she was closest to. Her eyes closed to concentrate despite being hidden by the dark sun glasses. She concentrated and try to offer just encouragement and warm wishes to the Lady Rena.

Mitz Xi takes O's hand and Lis's hand as she stands there... she smiles

Fugazi Smalls: once everyone is settled she looks to Rena for confirmation to proceed

Oceania Goodliffe holding Mitz and Dorian's hands she glances at Fu before smiling reassuringly to Rena

Lisa Feng looks to Rena, smiling as well, she knew she owed Rena a debt from day one in Midian

Rena Mayne looked around, took a deep breath and nodded to Fu. “Ok.”

DorianAensland Aeon 's silence had yet to be stirred. He'd simply watch on, especially once Rena had given the go ahead.

Fugazi Smalls: began to speak "We seek that which is lost"
"A soul adrift in the land of shadow"
glances to Rena again then proceeds
"Ashterith we bring you an offering for your favor"
"blood for the lord of death, "

Rena Mayne brought forth and object and laid it on the circle...some, especially Oceania would recognize it immediately.

Fugazi Smalls: "living flesh to tempt the prince of the damned"
Fugazi Smalls: "A supplicant approaches of her own free will,"

Lisa Feng peks a eyebrow, wondering what the object was

Fugazi Smalls: " bound at the heart to the wanderer,"
Fugazi Smalls: " willing to be cast adrift at your command"

Oceania Goodliffe tenses slightly as she sees the choker that was most recently Nerio's but at one time had been worn by his father, her former Master

Fugazi Smalls: "Hear our cry, accept this the pledge of your new servant"

Rena Mayne swallowed hard and looked at the note in her hand, the Dagger Nerio had given her held tightly in the other.

Fugazi Smalls: looks up expectantly to Rena

Rena Mayne spoke, her voice, quiet but clear and steady. "I prostrate myself before you o Ashterith." She made a deep slash in her left palm and flicked the blood towards the candles inside the circle...South, North, West then East. "Return my beloved to me my Prince."

Lisa Feng lets her eyes follow the blood as it disappears into the flames

Rena Mayne raised the dagger and slowly made a shallow slash on her breast above her heart.

DorianAensland Aeon 's hand squeezed Oceania's as he had felt the shift in her demeanor. Out of the corner of his eyes he watched as Rena had began to allow her blood to flow free as offer to Ashterith.. For the moment, all he simply did was bit down into his own teeth, causing his jaw to faintly tense.

Fugazi Smalls: watches an errant drop of blood touch the rice paper circle and vanish, leaving no trace
Talisy Minor gently squeezes Dorian's other hand gently to pass to Oceania since she was not near to. Her eyes went to the other woman and she shivered watching the blood trickle along her soft flesh. Blood magic...

Oceania Goodliffe closes her eyes as the scent of the blood drifts toward her, between that and the choker causing her to squeeze Dorian's hand rather tightly

Mitz Xi blinks as she just watches quietly, she has been taking all this in to memory and trying to understand what magic is.. or if it is real...

You: "My heart withers without my love. Nerio Yoshikawa, by my side."

Rena Mayne's eyes flicked to Fu.

Lisa Feng stays quiet, her thoughts distant, eyes on the blood and hand clasped tightly along Mitz's

Fugazi Smalls: nods her head, her hands now hovering over neatly arranged bones between the rice paper and middle circle

Rena Mayne hesitated for just a moment, her eyes locking on Fu's. Once she went past the next step, there was no going back, or so she thought.

DorianAensland Aeon hadn't done a single thing to interrupt. He'd almost seemed to relaxed.. and yet regardless his attention to the ritual never wavered.

Fugazi Smalls: Fu's eyes meet Rena's...determined but still her hands shake just a touch

Rena Mayne was afraid to speak, the wrong words could damage the circle. She gathered some of the blood with her finger, shaking ever so slightly as she did, looking to Fu for confirmation.

Talisy Minor kept watching the ongoings with nary a letting go of her gripped hand. Dark glasses covering her eyes and yet she seemed perfectly calm.

Fugazi Smalls: nods slowly watching for the precise moment

Rena Mayne let three drops of blood fall onto the collar. Only O and Fu would understand the full significance of the item. It was why she'd chosen it.

Mitz Xi keeps a firm grasp on Lisa's and O's hand.... tilting her head she looks about at the others and wonders... she smiles again

DorianAensland Aeon for a moment... his attention settled on one thing more than anything else. The bones that had been neatly aranged had garnered more of his focus. His pools of crimson hues darkened for a brief moment, before returning back to normal.

Lisa Feng stares blankly ahead, through her smiles, thought uncertain

You: "I will do thy bidding o Dark One, hear my plea"

Mitz Xi wonders... yes... about spirits and souls... the church people said she had one.. but she thinks they are wrong as she was told several times she didn't... she was not born.. but made.. that voids the whole soul thing she figured and remembers the debate with Matthew over it

Fugazi Smalls: at that Fu bows her head and begins to chant, any who might understand would hear her speaking odd names in ancient Slavic as her hands made painfully precise motions, rearranging the bones just so

Oceania Goodliffe opening her eyes as the blood drips onto the choker she watches it a moment before looking up to Rena's face, her eyes showing the love she has for her if she was to look in her direction

Rena Mayne looked around the circle, vivibly shaking now, the faces in the firelight familiar but eerie. She looked at Fu and waited, there was no going back now. She caught O's eyes for just a moment, they'd both lost someone...different circumstances, but no less painfully.

Oceania Goodliffe shifts her attention to Fu as some of her speaking becomes familiar from her homeland

Talisy Minor gave a gentle smile to Rena despite the bones that rested within the circle. Her eyes just watched, waited to see.

Rena Mayne was breathing harder now, her heart feeling as if it were going to beat out of her chest, her blood calling out to Nerio.

DorianAensland Aeon No matter what transpired, at least for the time being, his eyes would never drift away from the ritual. His understanding of what was spoken being his own.

Fugazi Smalls: as she continued an odor would become evident...rotted blood, a hint of sulfur, strongest near the triangle facing the door

Lisa Feng wrinkles her nose at the small glance to Rena once more wishfully

Fugazi Smalls: faint whispering might be heard in the corners of the ruined club, those looking away would see movement there...but no form they could recognize

Mitz Xi sniffs the air and thinks.. god who let one... she looks at Lisa....accusingly

Oceania Goodliffe wrinkles her nose as the scents assault her sense of smell

Talisy Minor the scents were making her wrinkle her nose. And yet she tightens her grip on dorian's hand as her gaze drifts over her left shoulder to the strange triangle beside and slightly behind her. Consider her a cat on a hot tin roof she was a little ansy at the moment although oddly enough the scent wasn't what was bugging her.

DorianAensland Aeon bit by bit, the atomsphere began to growl more familiar. Yet it was to be expected. His expression remained unphased, and he looked on with the upmost patience.

Lisa Feng grips Mitz's hand tighter, giving another look to the corners

Fugazi Smalls: each in the circle would at some point hear what they think is a familiar or beloved voice calling their name in a whisper from behind them...Those who had very unusual names would still hear this...perhaps even their "true name"

Rena Mayne took a deep breath to try and calm her racing heart, she was trying not to panic, but the fear was rising none the less. She'd sworn she'd go to hell to get him back, now she had to prove it.

Masha Eilde draws to a stop as she spies a familiar head through the factory window and crouches quickly. She holds her finger to her lips as she looks back at the gathered folks.

DorianAensland Aeon for the briefest of moments his pupils dialated, only to return to normal within the very next second. His tongue rolled once throughout his mouth, attentive to every detail of this ritual that Fugazi preformed.

Mitz Xi feels Lisa squeeze her hand more.. and now knows it was her.. that cut the cheese... and nods once... she grins looking back at the triangle

Masha Eilde waits until everyone is gathered then points to the door with her chin. She's not sure at all how to go about this. She thinks, then just decides so knock and walk right in and hope for the best. She stands and does just that, knocking on the door. "Rena? Rena! It is Masha, cher. Please, please, I know you ache with hurt, but you must NOT do this!" She tries the doorknob.

Guinevere Fouroux follows, trying to walk on the balls of her feet and wishing she hadn't worn her boots...

Oceania Goodliffe starts to tremble at the voice that calls her name, even after all this time his voice was still music to her ears but she held fast to the hands of those next to her refusing to turn around

Fugazi Smalls: the voices at the fringe would begin to become louder now...as the door bursts open

Eamon Cale glances at Elise with an arched brow, then rises and follows.

Elise Capalini rises to follow Masha and Marina, eyeing Guin's boots as she goes.

Talisy Minor suckled upon her full bottom lip despite what was going on. She remained true to the words spoken and kept her grip. A deep breath was taken as the girl let herself concentrate on what was going on around her.

Marina Storaro darts up on heels, following quickly in suit. As the door flew open, she'd kick it to stay with her right boot, quickly sweeping gaze over the gathered.

Mitz Xi eyes snap to the door as she blinks still holding hands and not letting go

Rena Mayne tried to breath and focus on Fu, she spun around with a small scream as the door opened, half expecting to see Nerio.

Oceania Goodliffe hods the hands she grasps tighter as the door flys open

DorianAensland Aeon what he felt, agitated him. He casually focused more on his peripheral vision, hands still remaining held with Oceania and Talisy even at the sudden burst of the door slinging open.

Masha Eilde tumbles in, not having expected the door to be unlocked. Her eyes take in the gathered folks and she hurries forward as Rena cries out. "Non, cher, it is us, me. Please, we must stop this."

Elise Capalini blinks at the scene before her, trying to take it all in...Rena...Lady O...

Talisy Minor the door may open and cold air caressed along her back. However, her grip remained true and refused to break her concentration.

Eamon Cale enters behind Marina. His dark eyes sweep the room, taking in the candles, the circle, and briefly bringing to mind a bad joke about weekend Satanists--then his gaze shifts sharply to Rena. "What's all this then, love?" he asks softly.

Fugazi Smalls: still chanting, the bones forming precise patterns as she moved each one, glancing nervously up from the ritual knowing she dared not stop

Guinevere Fouroux follows the rest in, eyes sweeping the scene before her in disbelief. She'd half expected it to be an overreaction, but no... it seemed to be precisely what Masha described.

Rena Mayne shook her head. "It's too late, it's done." She motioned for FU to finish glad to hear her voice still in the background

Marina Storaro stared at the held hands, the candles flickering casting light which defined the dark, rather than iluminated it. A very audible gasp, when she saw ... white.. bones.. moving into place.

Mitz Xi breaths a sigh of relief.. she was glad it was not her mom Auntie at the door... she relaxes now

Masha Eilde's face firms like dark wood. "Non." She examine the bones and steps forward deliberately towards Fu, intending to sweep her booted foot through the bones.

Oceania Goodliffe begins to mimic Fu's chant as she looksover the bones

Marina Storaro lowered her head, a very intent and piercing gold in her green eyes. Her lips began to move soundlessly, and she began to descend towards the bones, half-halting, but not stopping.

Lisa Feng contiues to grip Mitz's hand

Fugazi Smalls: as Masha steps forward, the moment her foot crosses the outer circle there would be a bright reddish flare of light "NO! You fool, do you know what you've unleashed?"

Rena Mayne reached forward to stop her, hand missing and attempting to grasp the girl's tail. "No!" echoing off the walls as she screamed.

Lisa Feng lets out a gasp of shock as the scuffle begins nearby

Talisy Minor kept her grip on Dorian's hand but her foot extended out to prophibit any further attemps to get near the bones. Or further interfeer.

Mitz Xi whispers to Lisa... "Umm. this is bad... I think"

Oceania Goodliffe turns her head from the bright red flare keeping a tight hold on Dorian's and mitx's hands

Elise Capalini takes a step back, keeping her back to the wall, eye moving from the exit, to the scene before her. She crouches, wary, tail bristling.

Lisa Feng brings a look towards Eamon, half wishing she hadn't worn the rosary, she returned Mitz's whisper 'I agree'

Eamon Cale stares at the free-for-all that looks to be starting, then turns slowly to stare at Guin and Elise with a clear expression of 'wtf have we stepped into this time.'

DorianAensland Aeon one of them coming in and interrupting was one thing, but more than one of them....? It wasn't as if it were completely unexpected yet still... "Fuck..." the word came out low and breathlessly from his lips, more instinct than anything else. He eyed Miss Brooklyn (Marina) that stepped forward herself.. and bit by bit he didn't let go, yet his grip on oceania and talisy's hands began to slacken.

Fugazi Smalls: a faint glow would be visible within the triangle where Masha stood

Marina Storaro saw one thing then. From the candles, to the chanting, to the tightened arms and clasped hands, she focused on Fu. Her hands were moving, guiding the bones, and that's what she was intent to stop. She hurtled herself forward, would attempt to throw her strength into the girl in her way to shove her aside, and dive for Fu's hands. Likely, landing sprawling over her if she wasn't halted.

Mitz Xi shakes her head..."come the ritual said.. talk to the dead she said...have a few drinks and party she said... oh nothing about party crashers" She keeps her hands locked on Lisa's and O's "and seriously.. who let one rip? That is just nasty to my nose!"

Elise Capalini watches them all, nose twitching at the strange scents that fill the room; whatever this is, it's awful. It can't be what Masha said...it just can't be. One hand slips under her skirt, to curl around the hilt of her dagger. She looks between the scene before her and the door--wondering how to get the people she cares about out whole; the others...she's not worried about them.

Lisa Feng fidgits, still grasping Mitz's hand, she wished her could finger the rosary..maybe she had gone in over her head with..this..but still.. she had to help Rena, she owed her that debt

Rena Mayne's hand closed on Masha's tail and pulled back with a mighty jerk, mostly out a fear for the girl breaking the circle. "No....She said not to let it out!!!" her voice held a note of sheer terror..

Markko Ondricek with a low growl followed by a silence, with nothing but death hanging over it, followed by a well of smoke came the Balor, angry..as usual, come for the call upon him, he continued to growl as it looked about the room, with a bloody desire to devour everyone in sight, but held in dismay by a command and a ward, being compelled to the triangle holding the circle within itself

DorianAensland Aeon he was sure Talisy wouldn't mind him using her, and would more than likely pick up on his next action and assist him. When Marina lunged forward towards the circule, throwing her strength and momentum into the single objective of disrupting Fu's ritual... he'd pull against Talisy's hand to not only pull her out of Marina's forward lunge, yet to use Talisy's grip as leverage to toss his right leg up and past her in an attempt to catch Marina in her stomach by his boot. If it managed to hit, the impact should of been enough to send her stumbling back. "Don't disrupt her.... trust me... no offense, but you do NOT want to do that."

Guinevere Fouroux takes a tentative step forward, trusting Masha's instincts to stop this thing, though she couldn't decipher what it was she was seeing. But there were rules to such things, right ways and wrong ways. She glances back to the father, disbelief and confusion clear on her face, before a growl erupts to her left, seemingly out of thin air, and she scrambles back. She hears the man scream not to stop her, but stop what? "What are we supposed to do?" She whispers loudly to the father.

Talisy Minor used as balast more or less was jerked and used to balance dorian as he went to kick at Marina for interrupting things. She put her feet back on the ground but kept her hand in his tightly. The spikes that lined her fist were lifted up on her other hand to make it known she'd use them if she had to to stop those that wished to interfeer. "You will stop now, we have another problem to deal with.. Thanks to your interfeerance." Her violet head shifted to big mean and hella ugly.

Masha Eilde halts at the pulling on her tail, standing on the outer circle, light blooming around her feet. "Cher then tell us how to-- " she turns, horror movie slow, an indescribable expression on her face as she looks up at this... thing. "What, by the good god, is this?" She asks hoarsely.

Fugazi Smalls: glaring evilly as Marina charged her she'd raise her left hand with the fingers curled inward toward the palm, with a flick of her thumb she'd utter something like "K'frakt!" in a guttural tone, one of the bits of jewelry on Marina's chest explodes with a loud crack...sending shards in all directions

Markko Ondricek looks around his growl wavering in and out and his eyes set on the woman on her knees before him, and speaking in a low drawling tone, a soud relavant to the dead screaming and swords sheathing in bodies, "You dare summon the Balor Dreka'Vac?!" he was angry pulled away from the torture of capture souls in the bowels of Hell's Jail, he stands within the circle compelled to stay

Eamon Cale stares at the thing bulling its way in. Some huge, mad beastie, covered in feathers--in Midian, God only knows. He could care less about the madness in the middle of the circle, though--whatever it is, it's not directed at him yet, and as a priest, Rena is his first concern. He pushes past the others, intent on grabbing Rena by the upper arms and hauling her around to face him. "Rena. Christ in heaven, love, what are ye doing?"

Oceania Goodliffe holds Dorian's hand tight as he tries to stop Marina, she flinches Marina's jewlery explodes tho her eyes never leave the thing that appeared, growling at Masha "you of all people should have known better than to disturb a ritual in progress"

Marina Storaro's dive lent her stomach open for a kick. She grunted hard, the blow stalling her momentum and shifting her aim. Rather than landing *on* Fu, she stumbles down and forward before her, just as the shards on her necklaces burst into shatters from her spell. Jay ((J8 anyone? Hee..))'s vampire fangs, which she held sinisterally glad on her chest, went flying into likely someone's skin, one of them embedding in her own, and the metal two. Prongs and slices jutted into her skin, leaking crimson blood. Like this, she continued forward, mere inches from Fu. Her hands were close. She grabbed for them fierce, eyes glowing golden from firelight, and if she took hold, would try to yank Fu from her perch. Was simply, trying to stop those hands. And somewhere in her understanding, she feared Nerio.. this strange speaking thing behind her she assumed was him, was there.

Mitz Xi looks at the thing blinking..."well shit.. hold on.. time out... can we do this again.. thats not Nerio unless he seriously got a makeover in the past few days from the Fab Five queer eye for the demonguy... Daaaamnnnn" She blinks again then looks at her hands still locked onto Lisa and O's hands... and growls low...her eyes flash as a gem explodes, shards embed into her forehead and torso.. she gasps out in pain and drops to one knee...hands keep a tight grip on Lisa and O's hands

Elise Capalini bites her thumbnail, feeling for a moment as though she's back at the rave and hallucinating--but she can't taste catnip extract on her lips...so wonders. The door is still clear, she thinks; they could all leave now and let that poor tortured man crawl back into whatever hole he calls home. She ducks the flying shards of Marina's jewelry, watches the father grab Rena, and sends up a little prayer. "...the Lord watches over you—the Lord is your shade at your right hand..."

Markko Ondricek laughs slowly and deviously, hearing the vile filth of the cloth pointing out the reason he was called, he looks about the room and then focuses on the girl, more living filth, bodies were nothing to him, only souls mattered and he wanted control of every one of them in the room, he stared down the girl with a glare to cast stone, "For what reason have I been summoned...meat?" he wanted to tear her to shreds now as the same with all of them and he heard the name Nerio but he wanted to hear it from her.

Guinevere Fouroux focuses on the father going after Rena--the only thing that made sense at the moment. She glances back at Elise, and thinks she sees the same confusion on her face. She hears a loud pop, something shattering, and flinches as something sails past her arm. She looks back sharply, sees blood and hears someone's gasp of pain... But so much was happening, she wasn't sure who to defend, or who to stop. She can see only the back of the giant man in front of her, the curve of the spikes from his coat or armor or whatever it was, but at his mention of being summoned, she furrows her brow, glancing to Rena, Masha, anyone she knew here to be sane. At last she looks back to Elise, backing up toward her friend, to the sound of her whispered prayer. "Any ideas?" she whispers, hand on her dagger out of instinct... for whatever that was worth.

Talisy Minor felt the bits of necklace parts impale into her sides and gave a hiss still she made no effort to let go of hands like directed. "Stop damn you we have a bigger problem then the bones. See, big tall and ugly yea.. We got him so for now cram it and let's deal with this together."

Markko Ondricek growls again, these things were anoying him to no end...to their own end, he was well aware of his power among them and he would enjoy devouring the each, but continues to look at the girl, then let his gaze flash back to the women behind the ward, a snarl passes over his lips and then he looks at the creature infront fo him, equally hideous as anything else in the room, and in a snarling tone of death he spoke to her, "Can you stand any closer you vile wretch of a dog...you are in my way?" he looks to the girl named Rena again, "I expect you to answer me filth"

Lisa Feng gulps slighting, giving a look to Guin, she looked oddly comforting, she had no time to concentrate on that however as she moved her gaze to the..thing near the circle

Rena Mayne loses her grip on Masha's tail grip on as her shoulders were grabbed. She whimpered...."Nerio?" Her fingers of one hand clawing at the hands holding her, she choked out, "I told you I'd go to hell for him." her eyes moved to the ...man? thing? demon? Suddenly sure of one thing as she saw the eyes. Fu was right, this wasn't her Nerio and she growled low in her throat, a purely feline sound. It had to die. "That is NOT Nerio!" She'd swipe at him with the Dagger she was still holding from the ritual, but wasn't wearing caused it caused too much lag.

Masha Eilde stares at the thing in front of her. It's not Nerio, or if it is, then the world is truly inside out. Most likely a crazed freaky steroid ridden experiment from Ashagi's basement, maybe, coming in to mess with the people playing with magic, and a sudden fury whips through her heart. Reasonable or now, this thing wants to pretend to be a demon, she has plenty of pent up anger for such a thing. At O's comment, she whips her head to side and snarls in return, "And you, you should have never let her do this at all." Bits of shattered something glance off her jacket, one piece lodging in the skin below, a slow trickle of blood following but she ignores it, returning her regard to the beast-thing. Her ears are flat, tail low and a full growl comes from her throat, her hand flashing to her right thigh for one of the knives lashed there. It speaks and her growl rises, anger, no, rage driving her actions. It speaks again and she lunges for the thing's chest with her knife, the growl a full throated bark.

Fugazi Smalls: seeing Marina still coming at her, Fu tucked her arms in tight and rolled out of her path, kicking out with one of her long legs in hopes of tripping her in what would appear to be an accident

Markko Ondricek snarls in delight feeling the knife sink into dead flesh that would grip the blade, as blackened blood began to pour, he would smile "Thank you mongrel" and would howl a sound so loud, a dark evil howl to strike fear into the hearts of all in the room, freezing them , freezing their blood, halting their minds, and swing his barbed wire wrapped fist away from him to strike at the useless creature infront of him with an unholy strength of comsumed souls

Eamon Cale jerks his head to one side. Something hisses past his head as a thin line of pain slices across his cheek, but his eyes never leave Rena's face. He lets her go as her nails claw into his hand, whipping swiftly out of the way as she lunges at the thing behind him with her knife. The thing's howl makes him grit his teeth, but his swipe at Masha is enough to galvanize Eamon into launching himself forward, intent on tackling Masha out of harm's way.

Oceania Goodliffe lets go of Mitz's hand as she goes down on her knee figuring this was the bad thing their joined hands was supposed to prevent, she moves her now free hand down to the hilt of her dagger, between the Father's presences and Elise's mumbled prayers she starts trembling slightly tho she tries to block them out and control herself, no matter their difference of opinion on this Masha was still a friend and that thing needed gone, dropping Dorian's hand she unsheaths her dagger as she steps forward only to stop dead in her tracks at his response to Masha's blade

Marina Storaro: Just as she reached for Fu's hands to grab, the woman yanked arms back and rolled. Furious, and driven singular in purpose now, threw the rest of her body down to the ground. Her shin exploded with a kick from Fu's boots, and she howled over the din of everyone's movement and screams. She kicked back, but not to land a blow. Her own long legs were attempting to ensare Fu's, she threw herself towards her, trying to wrestle and grab those arms. Still, her goal was to bring those hands to her mouth, where sharp canines were waiting to rip and break.

Mitz Xi stands as she snarls... O let go of her hand.. she lets go of Lisa's hand... "Go get him Lisa..." her claws extend... she stands to her full short height.. yeah.. fear me...for I am small... she feels the sting of the gem shards in her flesh and reachs up picking them out of her torso... tickles of blood dripping form her very minor and annoying wounds..."that was not very nice throwing glass at me.." she looks at Rena..."well no shit that is not Nerio... no.. but guess what is coming for din din..." she looks at the demon..."so.. you give us Nerio and will give you.. umm.. hmm... Lisa yeah.." looks at Lisa.. "Just kidding heheh.." shaking her head..."Next time you throw a party like this Rena... get me drunk first okay?"

Elise Capalini stands up and slides her hands down to her daggers. "Idea one: we grab the people we came with and get the hell out of here. Idea two: pretty much the same as idea one. She shakes her head. "I've got no idea, Guin...none..." Then, she nods toward the father, close to Rena and the tortured man. "Small targets," she decides. "Masha, the father, Marina...we cover who we came with." She nods now. It's a plan. Of a sorts...being that Masha and Eamon were now entirely too close to the tortured man for comfort. "Also?" she says to Guin. "We keep praying."

Nerio Yoshikawa just sits there looking at her not sure what to do with her anymore. He sighs and runs his hand along her side in a caress.

Rena Mayne purred softly in her sleep at his touch.

Nerio Yoshikawa sighs and caresses her shoulder, watching her with a confused expression on his face. What was he thinking? How could she love him? He started to beat himself up in his head. He knew what she wanted. Men to abuse her and that's what she wanted from him too and now he was becoming some love struck idiot. She was probably Damian's toy and he was fucking things up cause of that. He would just have to step back and let Damian have his toy then. There was no way, he thought, that she could ever love a man like him. His father always being there before him made his stomach sickened. He would never have anyone for himself.

Rena Mayne lay on the cot, curled up like a child. Her raven hair, now matted with blood, hung limply about her face. As the morphine took effect, she began to sleep normally as her body no longer needed to fight the pain. She stirred, mewing softly and calling out in her sleep. "Nerio..."

Nerio Yoshikawa tilted his head to the side showing just his profile, "Wha?"

Rena Mayne stirred at the sound of his voice, still definitely asleep. She murmured his name again.

Nerio Yoshikawa looks back at her and sees that she's actually still sleeping. He looks back ahead of himself wondering why the hell she'd be saying his name in her sleep. He shook his head trying to figure out what to do with his life.

Rena Mayne began to purr softly as the morphine sped through her system. The pain nearly gone now, her eyes fluttered open and she found herself starting at his muscled back. This time her voice was louder, clearer, and questioning. "Nerio?"

Nerio Yoshikawa tilted his head again looking back at her thinking she was asleep still. Seeing her eyes open he looks back ahead, "Wha?"

Rena slurred slightly as she spoke, her voice small and nearly childlike. "Is it over?"

Nerio Yoshikawa: "For now" *he says flatly without looking back at her. He couldn't look at her yet. Her voice enough confusing his muddled mind as it was*

Rena Mayne shifted in on the cot and nearly sobbed as she realized she was still clothed. Her mind was fuzzy now but she was almost certain no one had raped her. Her tone was incredulous. "He .... he didn't touch me?" Her mind was a litte to muddled to take in what he'd really done.

Nerio Yoshikawa looked down at the ground hearing her. He didn't know what he did to her other than the obvious ears being missing, "I..dunno"

Rena Mayne pulled herself up to a sitting position and forced herself to focus through the morphine haze. She stared at his back, her emotions, usually held tightly in check, ran rampant under the influence. Her hatered for Damian burned more intensely than it had since the first time he put his hands on her and as she stared at Nerio's slumped back, she couldn't help but wonder if he was in as much emotional termoil as she was. She knew she should hate him too...but somehow, she couldn't.

Nerio Yoshikawa hears her moving behind him and tilted his head to the side, "Spose it's time ta send ya back home." He stands up slowly putting his work aside for now and grabbing his shirt and vest and throwing them on.

Rena Mayne moved her hands over her body gingerly. Clothing still intact, no obvious wounds, until she found the bloody bite on her back. Her fingers moved over her face gingerly, praying he hadn't cut it, encountering her bloody hair, her fingers move through it until they find the spots where the ears should have been. She stared up at him and began to whimper. The sound increasing to a childlike wail as it all flooded back into her mind.

Nerio Yoshikawa cringed at the sound of her wailing and sighed as he sat back down, "Guess not" *he clenched his jaw trying to not let her crying hurt his heart wishing he could just shut down completely as his whole body trembled in agony*

The wail subsided eventually, only to be replace by shuddering sobs. Fury would follow soon, but right now there was only pain. She gradually worked to calm herself and the sobs calmed to the occasional hiccup as she watched him, and she wiped her nose on her shirt hem in a distinctly unladylike manner.

Nerio Yoshikawa bent his head down and put his hands over his ears as he propped his elbows on his thighs not wanting to let the cries get to him. He never had a problem hearing cries. His own mother crying couldn't even bother him much. He didn't understand at all. How could he care for someone that liked his father more anyway?

Her voice finally came from behind him, quiet and small. "He took my ears..."

Nerio Yoshikawa just nodded.

Rena Mayne whispered softly. "But he didn't take anything else..."

Nerio Yoshikawa shrugs, "I dunno wha he did ta ya. I din stay 'n watch."

"He didn't take anything else." Her words are a statement, not a question.

Nerio Yoshikawa: "Aight."

Rena Mayne blinked, working to focus through the morphine haze. "Is my debt to your family paid now? Is my family safe?"

Nerio Yoshikawa: "Ya would 'ave ta ask Damian. This was his show not mine."

Rena Mayne shuddered. "I hope I never see him again as long as I live."

Nerio Yoshikawa scoffs at that.

Rena Mayne narrowed her eyes. "You don't believe me?? Why would I ever...." her tone is incredulous.

Nerio Yoshikawa: "Ya like them bad, Rena..ya like when a man controls ya 'n takes wha he wants. Ya told me tha yerself. He's the best at it..why wouldn't ya?"

"If I want him sooooo bad, then why did I fucking shoot him?" her words tumble over one and other, almost like she can't stop herself.

Nerio Yoshikawa shrugs, "Probably the same reason Jackson 'n Marina beat the shit outta each other 'n shoot each other...some sick twisted game ya two play."

"You think I am like Marina?"

Nerio Yoshikawa shrugs, "I dunno wha yer like anymore. I seen too much shit ta know anymore how ya women think. Ya told me yerself ya liked shit like tha...how'm I spose ta know?"

"Well I'm not like her...I can't even fight, I never shot anyone before in my life. I said I liked sex rough, not that I like bloodsports!"

Nerio Yoshikawa shrugs, "Dunno why we're even 'avin this conversation. Not like it matters is it? Who cares wha I think?"

Rena Mayne pulled up short at that. Who cared? Did she care? she didn't want to care... "I do..." The words fall out and if he were looking at her she'd loook a little shocked.

Nerio Yoshikawa wasn't looking at her as he just stared ahead. He was a little taken back from her saying that though. He just sat there for a moment and pulled out one of his cigars and lit it. He didn't know why she'd care or why it'd matter to him, "Why?"

Rena Mayne stared at his back, him not looking at her, the drugs, it all made it easier to say what she never wanted to say to anyone, ever. "I care what you think cause I love you. I know you don't want it and you don't love me but I can't help it. I hate your father and probably always will but I love you. You aren't him." She slid her feet to the floor and tried to stand, a bit wobbly at first but upright at least.

Nerio Yoshikawa was speechless sitting there staring ahead still. He wondered if the trauma of the evening was just fucking with his head as he looked at the glass in front of him like he were in another world, "Wha? Wha did ya say?"

Rena Mayne nearly screamed it out, the drugs making her feel a little wild and somehow ... free. "I love you, you big dumb idiot of a male!" She'd watched him through all of this, seen the torment. Seen him try and shut himself down. She knew what he was doing, she did it herself. "Shut yourself off, don't feel anything, then no one can hurt you. Well...you hurt me by bringing me here. If I didn't care, it wouldn't have hurt. And it hurt you too, I saw...deny it all you want but I saw it. And you're gonna say you don't love me and you don't care but you feel something or you'd have chucked me out of here by now." she stood panting, waiting for him to berate her, or worse. Laugh. Either way, she'd said what she wanted to say and she was through now.

Nerio Yoshikawa looked behind him to her with a shocked look on his face then looked back at the glass. Must be the morphine making her high and saying crazy shit he thought to himself then shook his head at the idiocy of that. He didn't know how to respond to that. She was right, he was trying to shut down and nearly had and would have completely if she didn't just have her outburst. He sat there stunned then stood up and turned around to look at her, "Big dumb idiot male?" *He took a deep breath rerunning the rest of what she said in his head. The words so foreign to him, no woman ever really said those words to him like that. The ones that had had said them just to get to him. He could tell these weren't words of desperation. She had nothing to gain here, or did she. No, it had to be true. Cause he felt the same, "I..." *he stuttered a bit trying to say those words that made him feel so weak* "I.. love ya too"

Rena Mayne blinked slowly. It was the last thing she'd expected to hear him say. After everything that had happened and what she'd done to him. "You... You do?" She sat down on the floor with an unladylike thud. "Jesus Christ Nerio, what do we do now?"

Nerio Yoshikawa nods slowly, "Wha do ya think I was tryin ta get at before? Ya think all tha was to look cool?" *He went over to her and crouched down next to her with a shake to the head of indecisiveness* "I dunno"

Rena Mayne blinked up at him, wanting nothing more than to crawl into his arms and stay there. "How did this happen?" she smirked at him, she did feel a little loopy, "I thought we were smarter than this?"

Nerio Yoshikawa frowned and shook his head, "I dunno.." *he tried to smile to her but it just wouldn't come to him* "Somehow...ya entranced me the first time I saw ya. Why ya think I stop when ya step inta a room. Yer the only woman I do tha for. Ya know tha? I've felt this way a long time just never told ya"

Rena Mayne nodded, sobbering a bit. "Why do you think I keep coming into rooms you are in?"

Nerio Yoshikawa couldn't help but smile to that and shrugged, "My witty barbaric personality? Ya like big dumb men?"

Rena Mayne chuckled softly. "That and your rugged good looks. And no...I like you."

Nerio Yoshikawa: "If ya think cavemen look good I guess"

Rena Mayne titled her head. "I did like the short hair, but this..." she reached up and tentatively flicked her fingers through it. "This gives you something to hang on to."

Nerio Yoshikawa grinned broadly at her, "I never liked my hair short. I was goin through a thing back then though. I don't think I'll be cuttin it again" *he smiled to her fingers flicking through his hair* "we still got the...wha do we do now question. Yer friends are gonna hate me more now. We're probably never gonna be able ta be seen t'gether again"

Rena Mayne nodded. "Well, if we don't get me out of here soon, my pack is could storm the pool hall at any second."

Nerio Yoshikawa nods and stands up, "They're gonna do tha as soon as they get a look at ya anyway most likely..." *he sighs and puts his hand out to her*

Rena Mayne shook her head. "I'm the negotiator. I'll ... lie."

Nerio Yoshikawa raises a brow, "They'll believe ya?"

Rena Mayne smiled up at him, "Would this face lie?"

Nerio Yoshikawa hmmms, "I sure hope yer not lyin ta me.."

Rena Mayne stepped forward, her face turned to his. She placed her hand on his chest where his heart would be. Reaching for his hand hand with her other she placed it over her heart. "Am I?"

Nerio Yoshikawa let her take his hand and he smiled feeling her hand on his chest and sighed, "No..yer not. I should let ya outta 'ere then 'fore they come with pitchforks."

"Romeo...so ironic. Do you remember?"

Nerio Yoshikawa nods as he looks down with an amused expression, "Yah...Juliet. Lets hope we don't end up like them, though."

Rena woke with a start and reached for him, her hand encountering nothing but pillows empty bedclothes. She murmured his name before reality seared through her mind. Just a dream...a memory. He wasn't there. Might never be again. She rose, dressing in the dark before heading out into the night. Back to the chuch and a god she knew didn't want her.

Rena stared at the little book on the table before her. It was more than journal, it was friend, confidant, the one she confessed all too. It never judged, or offered advice, never tired to fix her problems, it just took in her deepest thoughts and darkest secrets and held them for her. Sleep. She'd been told to sleep. As if that was possible. Smoke from the fire hung in the air and she could see the eirie glow lighting the windows even now. There would be no sleeping tonight. Probably not for days. She huddled in the chair, her knees drawn up under her, hair in a lose ponytail, wearing a tee shirt and shorts she'd pulled from the trunk. Bent over the little book, scribbling madly, she looked like a teenager confessing her latest crush to her diary. Unless you saw the eyes. Violet eyes full of pain, fear, sorrow...

After Oceania had left her, she'd headed straight for the shower. She'd scrubbed til she was nearly raw to free herself of the soot and ash, the smell of smoke and charred flesh. Alone, with no one to witness, she collapsed, slidding down the wall of the shower, finally submitting to the overwhelming fear that had threatened to consume her all night. Images flashed through her mind as she sobbed, the kiss on the steps of the TZ. "I'll be right back." Watching him walk away from her. Watching because she loved to watch him. Loved the way he moved. Some found him cold, brutal, uncouth...but to her he had the grace of a predator. Watching him stride through those doors like he always did, her foot beginning to tap impatiently almost before he was out of sight.

Images of the explosion seared through her mind. The shattering glass, the flames erupting from the building. She'd been running before her mind registered what had happened. Standing in front of the hall, now an inferno. Voices. No one could get out of that alive. She'd seen him go in. Voices. Maybe he was in the bunker. But she knew better, there hadn't been time. Voices. Mocking. Derisive. Laughter. Her rage rising with her fear. Voices. Her name called. Masha? Oceania. Moving forward...but hands held her back. A familair hand brushing her shoulder. The lies they couldn't tell convincingly. He'll come out. He's not in there. He's in the bunker. The phone, dialing over and over and going to voicemail. The lies coming from her. He's not there, he's safe, he's just not answering, he got distracted...he'd come back if he knew what had happened...

But she knew he was in there. She'd seen him go in. Seen the explosion. But she hadn't felt him. He'd died before and she'd felt it, like part of her being ripped away. She hadn't felt that this time. But then, she hadn't been standing next to him when he... She couldn't even think it. Her mind wasn't ready to except that he was gone. She clung to the lies. She had looked away. He'd walked out and she hadn't seen....But he hadn't. She hadn't looked away. She knew she was clinging to a fragile spec of hope that somehow, he'd gotten out. If he had, she knew he'd find her. He always found her. And if he didn't, she'd find him.

She thought of Romeo and Juliet. Dieing, both thinking the other dead. No, she wouldn't do that, wouldn't make that mistake. Besides, there was Kendra to think of now. Niyol had a mother to take care of him, but Kendra... She shook her head. No, she wouldn't think like this. He'd be there to take care of them both.

She was strangely calm as she wrote, but the words were not her usual neat script. The page was covered in an uneven scrawl. Suddenly, she slammed it shut and rose, hiding it away quickly before grabbing her clothes and pulling them back on despite the smell. She left the building, silent, unseen, and headed for the church. This time, instead of blowing all of the candles out, she'd light every one of them. She knew god wouldn't answer and wouldn't care if he heard, but she went anyway, drawn like a moth to the flame. There would be no sleeping tonight.

OOC Answer to anon comments.

I have been silent for awhile for two reasons. One, planning an event like a wedding it freaking time consuming and two, well, not just one or two but several people have gotten hurt over things I wrote or didn't write here. The first is obviously no longer an issue so I won't address it except to say, OOCly it was a really fun experience and I really appreciate all the people that made it happen and I won't name you all cause you know are and I HOPE you know I appreciate your time and efforts. I will, though, say thank you to Nerio for giving me that day. We got our one day where no one attacked us and we got to be completely happy in character. We weathered the critisizm and did it our way. We now return you to your regularly scheduled mayhem.

As for the second. The last thing I want to do here is hurt people's feelings OOC but that seems to happen more and more frequently. Occasionally, it's about something I've written. (like someone reading this and finding out OOCly that I ICly slept with their IC boyfirend.) More often though, it's over something I didn't write about. There are a lot of people that are important to me. Sometimes, so important that I don't write things here because they are just to intensely personal to me. Sometimes, it's because it's someone else's story more than mine and I don't want to presume to tell it. I have IC knowledge about certain people that they don't want known to the general public, even OOCly. So when writing, I tend to err on the side of caution, lest I OOCly blow someone's big plot arch.

The biggest reason I haven't been writing is because I've gotten so much critisizm about my character over the last few weeks that I just don't want to give anyone any amo. People have felt the need to tell me everything from I'm not bitchy enough and my av is boring to my character is too extreme and shouldn't be doing the things she's doing. It's the very definition of 'you can't please everyone', only it seems I can't please anyone, thus, I am attempting to please myself.

I'm still parsing the whole wedding deal, so I'm not ready to post my thoughts yet, but I will be doing that soon. I think.

I got bitten...by a tree. A walking, freaking tree. Between spore spewing plant girls and walking trees I'm starting to think I am losing my mind.

Masha led us on a merry chase through the city, but we finally managed to track her down and Chi gave her the cure She was still a little feral after and I ended up tranquing her for her own good. Hell, for the good of the city. She was on a tear. She was fine enough the next night though and helped Chi disposses Pera and get her the cure too. I gave the cure for mitz to Pushy. We still have some left...but it's in a safe place, along with it's fellow. I was rather shocked. Pera was the easiest of all, but then, she was chained.

It's just been one of those weeks.

Ix attacked me again. Just a bite...and he let me go, even told me to run away. I don't understand what happend and why he can't let go.

Last night. don't even want to write about it.

I can't find a dress.

This is an OOC post...Masha wrote the following in her journal and it sparked something for me:

"I remember feeling an odd love for that plump little rabbit, that it would honor me with the joy of the hunt, the thrill of the chase, and the inevitable offering of its life to sustain my own needs."

I have been know *couch cough* to play the 'victim' role, although, I prefer to think of it as the prey role. Victim seems to passive and I like the fight even though I tend to lose. I choose the people I rp this with because they feel about me the way the character in the above quote feels about that rabbit.

They feel an odd affection for their prey OOCly, that it would honor them with them joy of the hunt, the thrill of the chase, and the inevitable offering of its body to fulfill thier needs and desires.

Maybe no one but me will get that...

Rena stared at the little book in her hand. Maybe it was time to stop writing in it. Maybe it was time to destroy it before it was found and her secrets spilled out ... maybe, but right now she couldn't bring herself to do it.

Dear Diary,

I'm tired. So very, very tired. I try hard to survive in this city, try not to remember the comfort of the life I left to come here. It was a soft life, easier in so many ways, but the price of that life was simply too high. It is too late to go back anyway. I'd be less than nothing. No, my life is here, my love, my friends, my family. Sometimes though, the weight of it all feels as if it will crush me and I'll shatter, fly off in a million little pieces that no one will ever be able to put back together.

Chi is cured, I think. I hope. I tracked him down in the park and injected him. He was pretty far gone by then. Looked at me like I'd make a good next meal. Lucky for me, one of those green plant things grabbed him before he could get his fangs in me. Those damned things scream like Banshees. She knocked him down when she tried to grab him, but Mitz charged in and detenticled her. Gave me just enough time to drag him off to saftely and take off before he woke up and came after me again.

Still need to take care of the others. I hear Pera is in bad shape, but I haven't seen it for myself. And Masha. Of all people, why her?

She slammed the little book shut and stuffed in uncerimoniously into it's hiding spot and took off, not noticing the eyes that had been watching her as she wrote.

Rena looked around to make sure no one saw and pulled out the little diary out of it's hiding place. She kept it well hidden and safe. The secrets it could tell wouldn't ruin her, but there were things she didn't want the world to know. She sat with pencil poised, thinking over the last few days.

She'd been getting ready to go to an event in the TZ when she'd heard the familar voice. "Hello Angel." She should have jumped right then and there but he sounded so...normal. Instead she'd turned, spoken with him, let him play on her emotions until she felt sorry for him. When he'd offered her a gift, she hadn't though, just reached to take it. She'd screamed as he stabbed the needle into her, telling her he'd infected her with military grade, self replicating nanites that would destroy her slowly. Then suddenly shots rang out, he was gone and Bekah and Deb were thundering past her. They took him down, but before they could get to him, the MPD interviened and took him into custody.

Nerio had appeared out of nowhere and whisked her off the the Hounds med bay. She'd been terrified. Ix knew how much she hated medicine, doctors, all of it. He knew what she'd gone through when she'd thought she was permenatly infected with nanites that merely healed. He'd designed the nightmare just for her. She was examined, trying not to panic, and finally it was determined there was nothing there. A 'prank'.

The MPD had shown up later and given her Ix's version of events. That they'd been about to have sex and been caught, that she didn't want to admit it and lose her fiance. She'd denied it, but other than the needle with traces of her blood and some saline, there was no proof he'd attacked her. They let him go the next morning.

She'd been busy, working on some information KAOS had recieved about a courier that would be in the city that night. She'd been waiting for a call from Pera telling her it was a go but the text she'd gotten had been from Nerio instead. She'd shown it to Chi...it just hadn't sounded right. He'd said. 'I need you.' It just wasn't his style. The rest of the text, it all had the wrong rythym. They'd cautiously gone to search, finding Nerio in a pool of blood, barely alive. She'd heard screaming, but didn't even realize it was coming from her.

Messages were sent and others arrived almost immediately. They'd carried him to the MCMC and she'd watched him die as they tired to worked on him. She'd nearly lost it then, as they tried to bring him back. She'd been close to drawing her gun and shooting everyone in the room when Sol finally arrived. She taken charge in her own quiet way, assessed the damage and begun to patch him up. He'd stabalized and they'd taken him back to the med bay. Others had gone to hunt the perpatrator. In all the comotion, the call had come in and Chi had slipped out to join KAOS and hunt the courier.

She'd felt like she was being torn in two. Or three. She'd wanted to hunt Ixion. She'd wanted to be with KAOS. But she'd needed to be with Nerio. He didn't say it, but he'd needed her.

While they had waited, trying desperately to keep Nerio from getting up and trying to hunt, Oceania had quietly offered to help. She'd been learning about her vampiric gifts, one of which was fleshcrafting. They'd convinced Nerio to let her help and she had. Rena wasn't entirely convinced he was 100%, but he was up and moving when suddenly, people crashed into the room behind them. She'd turned to see Sol, Ixx and Alex grappling in the center of the room. The small girl had been flung into the glass, sliding down it with a sickening sound. The rest had been a blur. An all out battle between the Hounds and a raging vampire in the form of Ixion, until finally, he'd collapsed unconsious...Torpor.

She scribbled some words on the page. She couldn't write about what had happened the following night. It had been neccessary, but painful for her to watch. She didn't want to relive it through her own words. When they were done with him, they'd taken him to the crypt, leaving him there in torpor with a message for the Breed. Don't fuck with us.

She hoped it would be enough. She closed the little book, stashing it safely in it's new home before getting up to go check on Chi and Pera. She hadn't heard anything bad, so the raid must have gone well, but she needed to find out.

Rena sat on the floor, her legs crossed beneath her, tiny book in her hand. She held a pen poised over the paper, unsure what to write. She looked down at the ring on her finger and her hand began to shake. She stilled it and put the pen to paper.

"Dear Diary...

I'm engaged. Not sure how this happened. It wasn't something I expected. Not even something that I was looking for. After what happened with Cadyn...I swore I would never give my heart to anyone ever again. And I didn't. The whole time I was with Ixion, he was with other people and so was I. It's safer that way, when there are distractions. That's what I thought he was, just another distraction.

But then last night. I heard Calee. "I hopes she says yes." And I knew. The world went sideways. I knew what he was going to do. It was sit down or fall down. I was so teriffied I stopped breathing. People all around asking if I was ok and I wasn't, but then he was there, front of me, all concern and caring.

Oceania whispering to me. "Do you love him enough to marry him."

I wasn't sure, then he gave me a valentines day gift. It wasn't flashy or showy, but ... it had the word kitty. That acknowledgement of who I am, what I still am. That did it.

He even got down on one knee for me. Pulled out a box and asked if I'd marry him. I could barely get the word out, but said I managed to say yes. Then he put the ring on. I don't think I've ever seen him that happy.

Didn't hit me until after that now we have to get married...have a wedding. People are all ready starting to ask when and where and I've barely started to process being engaged..."

It hits her she's going to be Rena Yoshikawa and her hands start to tremble again before she closes the little book. Anyone watching would have seen a smile though.

Rena sat down and pulled out the little diary she'd kept hidden under the couch in the Body Shop for so long. She'd have to find a new hiding place, now that the Sarcina were moved into the TZ. The TZ was to crowded and busy, somehow that didn't seem a safe enough place...

So much had happened since xmas, she hadn't had time to write much of anything. She hadn't even managed to recover and start making amends for her little shooting spree when Damian grabbed her. She was torn about the ears. She'd always hated being different. The ears, the tail...she'd thought she just wanted to human. But the threat he made, to have her DNA altered, to make her human...it made her realize she didn't want to change who she was. The question now though, are you still a neko if you don't even have kitty ears and a tail? People had offered to help her. Regrow missing pieces of herself. Somehow though, the though chilled her. what it, after...it didn't feel like her?

Seeing Damian wearing her ears on his belt had enraged her. All the anger she felt for Charles over what he'd done had transfered squarely to Damian, embodied by two little ears dangling from his belt. He'd had no right to take them. She'd begun to plot to get them from him, but before she could move, the hunt had been called in her name.

She'd wanted the hunt, but how could she take revenge on the father and not hurt the son. She'd had to find a way to hurt Damian so badly that he'd never forget it...without spilling any of his blood. Her thoughts turned to the pet. She'd seen Damian, the night Aravahsa had almost died. Men didn't feel pain like that for women they didn't love and he'd been in agony. The wheels began to spin and she put her plan in motion.

Hearing him hunted had not been pleasant. Her fear for her sisters and fear of what would happen if he were killed in the fight kept her from really enjoying the hunt. But after. Watching him. Kneeling, bloodied, howling in anguish...begging for mercy for his love. "No Rena!.. Dont do it! .. PLEASE!! I will do ANYTHING .. ANYTHING!!!" And she'd made him say please. "Please. Anything. No." She'd savored the power she had over him as she'd done it anyway, watching him break before her eyes just as she'd broken before him so many times.

Still, after all that, he'd almost won. Almost torn her love away from her. He'd blamed her for everything and told his son that she didn't love him and was trying to kill him. Lies. When she'd seen Nerio's anger, she'd thought she was going to pay for his lies with her life. Nerio, screaming out accusations of her betrayal in the street.

He'd tested her. Handed her a gun and held it against his chest. If she'd wanted his life, she could have taken it right then. But she'd passed that test, the bullet went in the floor, but Janus still hadn't trusted her. His eyes were on her always, waiting for one small betrayal.

It wasn't Nerio she'd betray though, it was Ixion. She'd kissed him and sent him off to Europe, knowing she was in love with Nerio...but unable to tell him. When he returned, she still could bring herself to do it. She'd greeted him like everything was the same, let him believe it was...until she met him in the church tower.

She'd told him she loved him. Told him she was sorry and begged him to forgive her. At first he didn't understand. Told her he didn't mind her indiscretions as long as she came home. She'd felt the anger mount as she tried to explain. He didn't love her like Nerio, didn't need her...how many times had he told her he didn't get too attached because he knew he'd just lose the humans he loved. She'd stared at him in shock and dismay as he'd screamed at her that she'd broken his heart, that he wanted to embrace her and keep her with him for eternity. She'd heard own screams fill the air and felt herself fall as he hurled her from the tower.

Now she sat, staring down at the little diary, scribbling madly. Still sore but healing. She'd said it was a fall. Clumsy Neko girl with no tail and no balance. But there had been police and sooner or later the story would come out.

She closed the diary and rose, searching for a new place to hide her secrets.

Spree part one

A big thank you to all those that participated in the planning. My victims...Damian, Chi, Markko. My Faction leader, Oceania. And to those who rped to the bitter end. Pera, Indi, Masha...and Ixion who I kept up all night. And anyone caught in the aftermath. I so wish I could read what happened. :)

---------------------------
Rena hurried down the iron stairs, her boots making a clicking noise as she went, as she hit the bottom step, Damian stepped out from beneath the steps, snagging her by the elbow. He spoke, "Whats the rush... 'Cat'..?" He grinned in the dim light.

Rena spun on her heel, attempting to yank her elbow free as she uttered a low growl, but he spun with her yank to move her faster than she anticipated. She felt like a top as he stepped into her and wrapped his arms around her. She tried to drop low on her heels as she felt his arms going around her, aiming an elbow at his ribs. He yanked her back against him with a grunt of surprise as he took the elbow in the rib "Ow.. fuck Rena.. its me.. whats the problem..." recovering he moved his head next to hers like a familiar lover. She relaxed slightly at his tone, utterly confused for a moment, twisting her shoulder to turn in his embrace and she pushed away from him with an elbow.

He gripped her back against him squirming with her as she moved "Mmm.. where are you going in such a rush baby... " he growled as he rubbed his face against the side of hers holding her tight.

She hissed softly, but relaxed a bit further. "I thought I was that fucking Cat now?" Confusion flooded through her as his tone began to disarm her.

Damian's hands moved over her ... rubbing over her breast pulling at it and making the material pull taut .. Kneading it as he pulled it roughly. His other hand slid between her legs and rubbed hard. "I am sorry to have left you in such a state the other night. Your hungry mouth down here."

Rena struggled to move away from his roaming hands half heartedly. "You always leave me in a state...but you always leave." Her foot slammed heel first into his instep with that statement.

He grunted out in surprise "FUCK!" and stepped back. He shoved her with both hands against the railing hard "What the fuck is up with you?"

She slammed into the railing with an oof sound as it caught her in the mid section. Turning slowly to face him she sputtered. "Me? ME! You hung me off a fucking building! What, I'm supposed to trust you because we are on ground level now?" Her eyes sparkled dangerously as she stared into his.

He came forward and shoved her backwards "That?! You are angry at that?!" his face registered shock and anger "I was just fucking around.. " he moved in as they both reached the wall.. his hands moving against her ... her thighs and under your skirt "I know what you need.. right.." his hands move against her "here."

She cringed back against the wall, palms going up flat against his chest as he moved forward. "That? You scared the hell out of me." She pushes weakly against his chest. "Stop it. I don't want you...."

Damian laughed darkly in her face "I don't want you too.. " he laughed harder. "Why do you have to play this game with yourself Rena.. ?" He ground the heel of his hand up and down against her sex "You fucking want it like this every day.. but you cant admit it.. " he pinned her face to a profile with his face .. his hot breath smelling of cigarettes and his teeth scraping her skin "You want someone that knows how much you need to be used.. and I will my little fuck toy.. I will use you until I am finished.. and as bad as you hate me.. and more yourself for doing it.. you are gonna cum all over yourself.. and start thinking about the next time as soon as we finish.." his voice dripped with venom as he growled the words into her face pinned with his face.

Rena pulled her arms back and slammed her hands into his chest with a strength born of rage he'd never seen in her. "Stop fucking with my head, I'm not your toy, I'm not your anything, I don't belong to you." She hated him for being right and knowing her too well. Hated herself more for giving in to him every single time. With a feral growl of pure fury she snatched the gun from his side, and holding it close to his body she barely blinked before she began to fire. Staring into his eyes as the bullets tore through him and his blood sprayed over her.

He fell back landing hard.. his mouth working but no sound coming out. He raised his head and stared into her eyes .. his own wide. She stood over him, eyes glazed with shock as she dropped the gun on the ground next to him. "Maybe this time...you won't come back from the dead." He head fell to the ground and she moved off quickly, leaving him to bleed.
